Goto www.newsweek.com or www.marvel.com (maybe more to come!) and enter the Konami Code

Awesome, I want to see more sites that are doing this.

Any reason known on why this is being done?

EDIT: I tried this on the Konami site - it doesnt work - booo.

It was supposed to work for theglobeandmail.com at one point but I can't get it to do anything, they've probably taken it off.

When I was a kid and we were entering that code for the first time, it was pretty incredible. There was no way we could finish each level without it. I found that snow level sounded killer when I played the Call of Ktulu at the same time. I had to que my tape player while pausing.

Underwater fire in Super Mario Brothers and naming the character Zelda were also cool events.

I have no clue how we found that code out.

Newsweek isn't doing anything when I try it.

Facebook uses the konami code too. Type something in a text box after using it.

That's the problem with these, once word gets around, the major sites usually force the web guys to remove it.
