Yeah, this CBC stream is like time travel right now, I go ahead and then go back several minute chunks at odd times.

I need to find Doc Brown and set this right.

ever since he moved to Real Madrid and I didn't see him play every week my hatred for the little fairy had dwindled, it was back in 10 minutes today

Oh, Ronaldo must have got a yellow card while I was driving to work. He dove again after I got to work too. That's at least 3 obvious dives in the first half then.

I take issue with the Roger Milla Coca-cola commercial. Africans didn't invent dancing in soccer.

Brazillians have been dancing after goals for decades!

Im really trying to get into this soccer stuff...as I understand what a grand stage the WC is and all the pageantry that goes along with it all. But man...this stuff is just unwatchable.

I will try and keep watching until I see what it is so many love about the game...and its always cool to have live events during the week. Just glad the US Open starts on Thursday as well.

It's been a very very poor tournament so far. Don't really blame you for being uninterested to this point. It's on pace to be the lowest scoring tournament ever.

19 goals in the first 12 matches.

One thing I could suggest is not to concentrate too much on goals or scoring chances. Watch how the players control the ball and how the ball moves. The game still has a good flow to it.

Also the longer it stays tied, the more anticipation there is for that elusive goal. The crowd starts to get anxious for a goal or side with the underdog.

One player from each side got carded. The CIV guy for the tackle, and Ronaldo for starting his dive before contact was even made.

The CIV player got carded for a Ronaldo dive. Or is that what you are saying?

They both got carded for getting in each other's faces afterwards.

Looking at the replay again, it looks like they both may have gotten it for getting up into each other's grillz.

The CIV player tackled Ronaldo and the ref let the play go on briefly, but stopped it after looking back and seeing them up in each other's faces. I don't think that any of the after-the-play stuff warranted a card however. Maybe the ref was just trying to keep things in line.

After watching it a few times, the CIV player didn't actually get the ball on the tackle, Ronaldo still dove in anticipation, and they both got carded for their reactions.

I guess we disagree. For a year, the only sport I had the pleasure of watching on TV was soccer. I watched enough to decide that the english are the least diviest.

Is Drogba not playing this tournament? I thought he broke his arm.

Drogba's arm cast got approved by FIFA. And now he's on, in place of Kalou.
I'm somewhat surprised it is Kalou he's replacing.

We finally agree on something.

This is some of the worst international sport of any kind I've seen.

Ronaldo just hitting the deck because the breeze washed over him. Brutal.
