Man, if this is what we get for Microsoft, the Sony event is going to be even worse with the billion Move demos they'll show. Yikes, Nintendo has an easy chance to walk away with the most interesting presser of this year and we haven't even finished 1 event yet.

Yeah it'd be shocking if Sony didn't devote half their conference to Move. Although Move has some real gaming capability so it could be pretty good.
Nintendo's could be very interesting. There's basically no leaked info about the new Zelda. The vitality sensor looked like a piece of crap last year, but it'll be interesting to see how it actually applies to games.
The mechanics of MGS were pretty cool, and I guess the space combat in the Halo game was ok. Beyond that nothing overly exciting.
Yeah, the cut mechanics of MSG were pretty cool. I'm a little skeptical as to how they can build an entire game around those mechanics though. It could end up being great or it could just be a way to chop up bad guys into 5 pieces over and over again.
Nintendo can "win" this E3 just by announcing a proper Zelda game. That's all they need to do, that is how poor the M$ conference was.
There was nothing new this year. Lame.
I think Nintendo can easily win best conference. They have a bunch of unknowns (3DS, vitality, maybe some new games like zelda and donkey kong). Sony and Microsoft doesn't have many new announces (well, Sony doesn't since i'm assuming they'll focus on Move)
That doesn't look slim...hopefully the power brick is inside now?
I stand corrected it is slimmer. Looks like it has vents on top now and it's slightly raised in the middle so there's less surface contact when placed horizontally. No more overheating issues? Was hoping for a price drop though.

I'm thinking there's plenty of things they can announce that will be more interesting, namely the 3DS and how it works. That would be the biggest announcement it seems.
I'm curious to think how the general public to react to Kinect if the $200 price tag is true.
If Sony announces a new Twisted Metal, which David Jaffe was supposed to be working on, they might be able to steal best of show. That Microsoft presser was very poor. What I saw was them looking at Nintendo 2 years ago, and duplicating everything. Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Mario Kart? Did I miss anything?

What's with all the motion sensing / motion capture garbage? I play video games when I feel lazy and want to relax on the couch. Whatever happened to improving graphics and/or making games that are actually fun to play?

It'll bomb if it retails at that. The biggest problem with Kinect is that there seems to be no interest is applying the technology to hardcore games.
Like the Wii or not, there's enough of a balance between great hardcore games and casual games to justify it being for whole family.
With Kinect, that extra money adding it to your 360 is just for mom and the kids. That might be justifiable if you already have a 360, but what casual gamer is going to shell out huge dollars for a new 360+Kinect when there's already a Wii sitting on the shelf?

Like you suggested, one could just save themselves $195 and buy a Swiffer duster to dust off the Wii.

That's the thing. Who is going to buy an xbox 360 + Kinect, whom already doesn't own a Wii? It makes absolutely no sense to me. People who are going to buy the Kinect already own one, it's called a Wii.
I own a Wii, I never use it. Why am I going to pay another $150 for a motion camera when none of the games are original and already exist.
To me the wii makes more sense because it actually has a button. Kinect is very cool, but how do you do a full hardcore game using only gestures. I think the Move is the only one of these that has the chance of emerging as cool once the dust settles, but watching the IGN demos from last night it looks kinda boring outright terrible.
edit: I had privately predicted that this could be the worst e3 ever, and after watching those videos I'm not sure what Nintendo and Sony can do save this years conference. Sure it's a little defeatist to say before they even present, but it's not looking good IMO.
