Agreed...although the mics don't usually do a good job of picking up atmoshphere in larger stadiums, any that there is (as far as chants, cheering, drums etc) are drowned out by those horns.

Looking forward to the Brazillian samba drums, and of course any Enligsh chants, as quiet as they may be in the background if they are banned..."Are you Scotland in disguise?" when England probably makes easy work of SLV or ALG along with "He's big, he's s hit, he can't fit into his kit, he's Peter Crouch".

Mesut Özil has been pretty impressive other than his yellow for diving.

There is a Mercedes plant about 20 miles from my apartment complex and we have about million other Germans here. I have about 20 of them in my living room! Place is an absolute mad house!

No. The Aussies' line was crap. They had three defenders executing the trap perfectly, but the fourth defender strayed back from the line to cover a German player, who wasn't receiving the pass (Klose), thus putting the man receiving the pass (Muller) onside.

Good to see the Aussie's being taken apart. Nothing but a bunch of whiners and cheats.

The Central American/Caribbean refs are easily the worst in the world. Between the refs and the play acting watching Canada try to qualify for the world cup through a Concacaf cycle is like water torture.

A collection of Rob Green jokes.

My favourite:

Rob Green has injured himself. Apparently, he put his head in his hands and immediately kneed himself in the face.
