Yup yup, throughout all of this stuff about the new iPhone and the leaks and stories etc... the only thing I was seriously hoping for was the A4 chip. The iPads are insanely fast, and it looks like the new iPhone will be as well.

I'm not sure if there is much difference between the 2G and the 3G in terms of specs outside of the network stuff. But updating to 3.0 really bogged my phone down. I didn't want to upgrade for this reason, but most apps only worked with 3.0 and later. I tired the 3GS a couple weeks ago and I couldn't believe how fast it was. I was blown away. I didn't realize how sluggish my phone is. And now after getting the iPad my iPhone feels like molasses. Plus I also cracked my screen.

Speaking of cracked screens. The iPhone 2G and iPhone 4 have something in common. Both of them have the glass laminated to the screen. The 3G and the 3GS do not. So if you break the glass on the 3G or 3GS you can replace for it pretty cheap. People do it on Kijiji for less than $100. But since mine is laminated to the screen they both have to be replaced for around $170. Not sure if it will be the case for this one, but I would really try to avoid dropping it.

Both my 3G and my 3GS have been the white versions. This time around, though, black it is. I'm not sold on the way the new white ones look. Mind you, I've yet to actually see one in person...

Although... I don't know. White does still have some sexy to it...

Luckily, I live in Canada so I still have a month or so to make up my mind. I won't be pressured into making a snap decision like those suckers in the US.

The glass completely covers the white does it not? That would have to cut back on the dirt build-up would it not?

Sweet, all the execs and upper management here get Iphone 4's in late July... I will get whatever colour all the old guys don't get, so they aren't taking my phone off of boardroom tables.

I have white in my 3G, was the only colour they had in the 16GB when I got it.

I think I might stay with the white though

I'm starting to warm up to the white a little bit more. I'm just not crazy about the speaker holes.
