I believe that the NCAA players also have to pay their own way to prospect camps, as a free trip would constitute a gift and would void their amateur eligibility.

There are some issues they have needed to fix ever since '07 came out...
-No more watching replays during multiplayer games. Just because your opponent doesn't press A doesn't mean we need to see the goalie freaking stretching every 2 seconds. Get the game going as fast as possible.
-No more pausing the game during multiplayer. If your phone rings and you need to answer it, too bad. Nothing more annoying then having your opponent pause the game.
-For God's sake, when the game is done, why do we need both people to press A before quitting? It's stupid how some ppl will force your opponent to watch the ending sequence when they lose. Even worse is if you quit at that point, you get the loss!
-Hopefully better hitting physics. Pinning someone to the boards was stupid because it was like you got 'sucked' in when the other guy hit Y. And it was only the one animation.
Overall the game was good last year...but the muliplayer issues is waht made me stop playing the game. No need to watch a replay after every single whistle, or a 2 minute intro you are forced to watch because you opponent didn't press A. WE don't need to have a countdown after every intermission where both players press A. Keep the game going as fast as possible and hoepfully it was be a great gaming experience.

It would have been better if this was Burrows or Kesler, but still funny there is a canuck on the ice after a dive.

The physics stuff sounds promising. A good sports game is about variety, and seeing those wow moments happen like they would in real life. No play should look exactly like the last.

I hope they don't make it where its too easy to score off your stomach or back though, its not realistic if it happens in every game

Of course you'd say it's a tripping penalty. No canuck player would ever dive, embelish or pull hair? What? There's video evidence of all of that?

considering that the Kings player is about 30 feet away, looks like a typical Vancouver Trip.
I hope they put a feature in the game where players can whine that the ref is out to get them after the game.

I am super excited for this game now. It seems they have added a lot more to it. NHL 09 to NHL 10 wasn't that big of a gap, they didn't add that many features.
NHL 11 is turning out to be a whole new game, rather than an expansion like NHL 10 felt.

This was the concern with goals from the knees last year, and I can say it's something I've seen probably 3 times, with only once actually getting the puck on net. I trust the devs on this one.
Some points from the articles:

players can aim to hit their opponents either high or low

That is so cool. I'm going to Gauthier the hell out of everybody.

I know some of you guys are worried that it will get frustrating or annoying, and yeah, I'll admit that might be the case but you just have to go with it. Sticks break in the NHL at a rate higher than what we'll see in NHL 11, so this is just a new gameplay feature you're going to have to learn to play with.
|
I'm hoping this has a slider. Not that I don't want it, I just wonder what the actual stat is on broken sticks in real games.
Sounds awesome so far. Very pleased as more physics tends to be the answer to every problem.

I think they need to add hits where both players get knocked off their feet. This happens quite a bit in real life but not at all in the game. They should maybe try using the Sixaxis controls when doing dekes where you jump over the guy. My 2 cents that would make the game even better than it's sounding.

Haven't read everything yet, so it may have been mentioned, biut for the realistic factor I would like it if you didn't start every game and get 25 minutes of icetime in the 'be a pro' mode.
I remember in NFL 05 ( I think) when the first person player first was introduced and you had to earn your playing time. I liked this much better then being given all the playing time you want... At least make it an available option.
