Default Jasper Park Lodge

So, I'm getting married this summer and the wife and I are heading west for the first time in our lives for our honeymoon. Finally get to see Calgary and the Rockies. I've been trying to get a room at the Jasper Park Lodge but they're so expensive. Anyone have any "ins" on getting a cheap rate there? I'm a member of the "Presidents Club" for Fairmont but doubt the JPL will be on there next month. Would be nice to stay somewhere like JPL on our honeymoon without forking over $400 a night. If you could help out i would mail you a gift of some sort, we could talk. Would like to stay Aug. 1,2,3 and leave on the fourth.
Thanks CP.

You will receive a higher discount on room rates at any Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in the world.

eservus will give you some discounts on all hotels and activities.

Lake Louise, Banff and Jasper all have hotel deals through eservus.

Try hotwire.
There's a chance JPL would be on it, and usually you can figure out which hotel is which before you book.
I've gotten some pretty awesome deals through that site.

Very nice place. I stay there every year for a conference (paid for by work, of course).

Be forewarned they are going through renovations right now, so the hot tub (which is awesome) is unavailable this summer (that isn't awesome). A lot of the stores are closed right now too (I think only 1 remains open).

The cabins could use some upgrading... hence the renovations, but all-in-all it is a really great place to stay.

Sorry I can't help you with the discount information, but thought I'd let you know of it's current state of affairs.

The pool was open at the end of April but I don't know if it will still be open all summer long, as they plan to do some work around the pool area.

Your Fairmont Club will get you free internet.

They plan on being done in September or October, at least that's what I think they said.

He will be on his honeymoon, I sure hope there is no need for the net.
