Bbc life
Just about finished watching BBC's new series LIFE. If you liked Planet Earth, well in my opinion this has one up'd it! Four years in the making, and the most amazing visuals Ive ever seen of wildlife. if you have yet to see it, I strongly suggest watching it, its truly amazing!

Just as long as you watch the David Attenborough narrated version, and not the Oprah Winfrey narrated version.

I keep looking for the David Attenborough version but can only find the Oprah one on Blu Ray. I even went into a Best Buy to ask for it. The clerk said every single person had bought the Attenborough version except the last one. That's how she knew they were sold out.

Why do the Americans always feel the need to change superb narration just because the person has an accent? It's not as if he is difficult to understand at all.
I've never understood this.

No they do it with most things, commercials etc. sure Oprah is marketable, but the fact is north america does change it up often.

Not questioning the Oprah choice par se. Just generally why do they feel the need to change things?

Blu-ray David Attenborough 4 disk set at Futureshop right now for $57.99.
Picked it up today at Heritage Meadows location. Works out cheaper than ordering from a US website, and having to pay shipping/brokerage/duty etc.
As much as I want to watch it now, I am waiting for my new Home theatre setup to show up to take this for a spin. This is going to look amazing on a my 63" plasma.

I'm more bothered by the fact Oprah represents pseudo science on her show and has been repeatedly slammed for it by journalists and scientists who are alarmed she gives such airtime to quacks while never giving any time or effort to real science.
I mean its like the next amazing BBC series on nature is made and they have Jenny McCarthy do the voice overs on it

IE: Harry Potter and The Sorcerers Stone. While we are at it, lets make crappy custom book covers, too.
