Without reading everything I'm sure Citibank will say they fired her for inappropriate attire. Now clearly some of those pictures from her lawsuit are not certainly not inappropriate. She wears them well but that isn't a crime.

However, I have to wonder if they hire her from a interview where she wore the Armani dress I'm not sure what they were expecting. While she again wears it well I'm not thinking that one is that appropriate for a business setting.

But this entire thing seems to simply be a plea to start some sort of modeling career and as far as that goes she is a terrible model.

And I'll have to agree with those that she doesn't do much for. Not saying she's ugly, but she certainly isn't gorgeous by any stretch.

Good article outlining the various legal issues involved here, including the contract she signed saying arbitration would settle the dispute.

And, she's still really hot.

Her lawyer won't be selecting you for the jury.

Okay, between her obvious cry for attention and this thread being derailed so badly by PyramidsofMars, this bitch is just getting on my nerves now.

If people just ignored me, there would be no issue.

Buried beneath the attention-grabbing allegations, meanwhile, is a legal detail that means a lot for many workers, not just the attractive ones: Thanks to something known as a mandatory arbitration clause, Lorenzana likely will not have her day in court.
Wow they're really making a big deal about the fact that it's going to be decided in arbitration instead of the courts. That's a good thing - you get a much faster decision and it's cheaper for all parties involved.

Quote:
But Lorenzana's lawyer, Jack Tuckner, said he and his client would have preferred a jury trial. For one thing, he said, arbitrators -- sometimes former judges or lawyers -- may be more jaded and conservative than a jury. He also questioned whether arbitrators, who often are paid by the companies requiring arbitration, are ever truly impartial.

"A jury will act [more] with their heart and their emotions than an arbitrator ever will," he said. "You're far less likely to ever see a penny of punitive [damages] with an arbitrator."
The fact that an arbitrator would act on the facts rather than their heart and emotions is not necessarily a bad thing. It might make it harder for the decision to go in their favour, but at least it will be based on the facts.

Debrahlee Lorenzana hasn't stopped making the media rounds in the wake of her highly-publicized lawsuit against Citigroup in which she claims she was fired for being too good-looking.

The New York Post reported this morning that Lorenzana was told by her current employer, JPMorgan Chase, that she may be fired her for her very public campaign against Citigroup.

Lorenzana told the "Today Show" that she only filed suit against Citigroup after a lifetime of mistreatment for her appearance. "What I'm trying to make is a point that enough is enough," Lorenzana said. "I've been through my entire life going through [this] harassment."

"There's a point where you say I don't want to go through this any more," she added. "So, now I'm trying something different."

A Citigroup spokesperson said: "Ms. Lorenzana has chosen to make numerous unfounded accusations and inaccurate statements against Citibank and several of our employees. While we will not discuss the details of her case, we can say that her termination was solely performance-based and not at all related to her appearance or attire. We are confident that when all of the facts and documentation are presented, the claim will be dismissed.")

Now says she faces the firing line again from her bosses at Chase for sullying the reputation of the financial industry.

The Queens stunner said she was told that if she went ahead with scheduled television interviews today to talk about her suit, she'd once again be without a job.

"They asked me if I was going to proceed. They said if I kept talking, it was grounds for termination," Lorenzana, 33, told The Post yesterday.

Guaranteed this chick ends up on next season's The Apprentice. Then I'm going to bet she pens a book containing more photos than words, and probably a pin-up calendar. Then maybe, if she's lucky, she lends her name to a line of women's sexy office attire.

That should about do it for her 15 minutes. Unless she does Playboy of course, which would be the smart thing to do.

Let us pray.

I'm not saying her claims are baseless but she may have been fired for other reasons. For example, I saw her on some talk show yesterday evening and, well, she came across as a moron. A pretty moron but a moron nonetheless.

She was probably fired for incompetence, but tried to spin it like she was fired for being too good looking. Yes, she's an attractive woman. But to the point where it's distracting to work with? No way. On a hot girl scale (as in only hot girls count), she would maybe rank a 6/10. Honest to God, no internet bravado on my part.
