Me, my sister and her family, and my parents are going to California on Boxing Day for a week. We wanted to go to Hawaii but it would have costed us 15k for all 8 of us so we went with California instead which is half of that. Half the week will probably be spent at Disneyland but we plan on seeing other things.

I already had mine! 4 weeks in Europe in 2009 and 4 more weeks early this year. Planning for SE Asia + Australia for 4 weeks in early 2011.

About to head to Budapest for a bit of a working vacation, will be in Calgary in July, and then the Amalfi Coast of Italy in the fall.

The dream vacation though is still a trip through Antarctica via Argentina.

Going to try and make it down to Eugene, Oregon to catch a Ducks football game in September. Then in December, I'm heading over to Nice, France for 5-6 months.

I went to Budapest in 2008 (on the same trip that I went to Italy and the Amalfi coast, coincidentally). Budapest is really neat. You'll really come away with the impression that the city (and country) is really coming out to the world. Lots of new buildings being built, etc. Really beautiful place.

One caveat - the drive from the airport is, well, pretty ugly. Trust me - it gets much better.

I can see BC being one of my summer options. Can't complain, however, as I was in New Zealand and Australia about a month ago.

Oh I've done that drive more than a few times, as my family is Hungarian. Part of the reason I'm going is that my parents bought a nice apartment in the heart of town, and we need to do a little reno work. So definitely a working vacation, but getting out from behind the computer is worth it!

Budapest definitely has beautiful bones, but it still has a way to go in terms of cleaning itself up from the neglect the communists left behind. You can tell it was a really grand city though, and hopefully it can return to the glory sooner rather than later.

Did Hawaii in April, most likely wait until Oct and head down to Florida, Tennessee and Georgia for some hockey. Never been to that part of the US and would love to see the rinks.

You and I think alike. I want to fly into Buenos Aires then head to Patagonia and bum around in El Chalten and keep heading south to Ushuaia and take a trip to Antarctica. I want to do it in the fall but I doubt it will happen this year.

I spent September in Cambodia/Thailand/Singapore before starting my current job.

I just got back form Kaua'i last saturday and had a huge itch to check out Maui around Labor day but figure it's too soon. I'll go there next Memorial Day.

I plan to visit L.A. and S.D. in July

We'll be going to the Mexican Caribbean side this winter for a wedding. We travel a lot and I'm sure some deal will pop up that entices us. We've found good deals on cruises, Africa, etc. that we grab when they come up. My wife is trying to get me on a four-week cruise. I'd love it except for being away from the office that long. We just got back fromm New York and Toronto this week.
