I'm gonna buy a road map, walk into traffic and sue the road map makers too. Makes sense, really.
In other news, that sunshine girl is haggard.
Edit: I sorta take that back. Why take the worst muffin top photo and use that as the cover? WTF man.

LMAO, she's 40. Not bad pics for a 40 year old sunshine girl. Sunshine girls are often crap to begin with - add a 40 year old...

Rosenberg is seeking compensation for medical bills, plus more for lost wages and punitive damages. The lawsuit provided no other information about the woman, who has been misidentified online as a Los Angeles publicist by the same name.

I wonder if she got car directions and not the ones for walking.
She sounds like the type that would do that.
I love how she is trying to sue someone who creates an application for free. Had she paid for it, then she might have a case.

I don't think that's relevant to the case. It's still an application that is supposed to direct one to their desired location, and if the application's directions leads them to injury then Google might be responsible.
I don't think that's the case here though, sounds like Google has a disclaimer about directions not always being correct and anyone with sense doesn't cross a dangerous road just because Google directions told them to.

The sad thing is she'll probably get a settlement of some kind.

Young said the walking path was “totally snowpacked” and of no use to pedestrians in January.

I like how it's Google's fault that it snowed.

Rosenberg believed she could reach a sidewalk on the other side of Deer Valley Drive and tried to cross the boulevard, but didn’t even make it to the median, he said.
|
....so she got hit by a car while j-walking???

I'm so confused by this story...
So there's actually a path next to the road that google told her to use but she was walking on the wrong side of the street... and that's google's fault?
If the path was snowpacked, it's not unreasonable to assume that the street may have been a little icy. So she decides to run across the middle of a fairly main street which may have been very slippery in the middle of the night and nowhere near any sort of light or marked crossing, right in front of a car... and it's the driver's fault?
It's a shame she didn't earn herself a darwin award.
