People are liars. I like my job as much (and probably a lot more) than plenty of people, but there's no goddamn way I'd do it for free, and that's what it would be like if I or anyone else won a lottery like this.
How long does it take the average person to make 50 million bucks? 500 years is optimistic, and then you gotta pay taxes.
Yoda is the only person I can think of who might really keep his job.

Quit my jobs, but I'd still go to school. Get a place here where I really want, but nothing ridiculous. Get a car I really want, but not a Ferrari or anything ridiculous (again). Give some to family and good friends. My coworkers too, since I only have three of them. =P Probably travel lots (when not at school). Pick a few favorite charities.
And..figure out to how to invest (wisely)...

To be honest I would probably finish doing my CFA, I just have to finish something if I start it.

I'd finish my degree, buy a decent place with a massive yard, buy a couple pieces of property I could rent out or sell later and shove the rest into as many seperate investments as possible. I'd save 10 million to use as a "just in case every investment falls through" backup plan which would be locked away in a saving account.

I'd direct and star in my own porno movie. It's the legal/safe way to have sex with as many for $$$ women as possible.

Take a million or two for myself, rest goes to savings and investments. I keep living my life the way I am right now.

I'd buy Paris Hilton for the night and lay some carpet.
Seriously, if I had 50 million, I'd renovate my house.
With new carpet.

Most of what I would do has already been said.
I would make multiple visits to vegas to play poker, especially in the WSOP.
The hockey team would be going on the best damned tourney week ever. I'd guess a Euro trip.

First, pay off all outstanding debt.
Second, a million for my parents & a million for my in-laws. 250K for each sibling on both my and my wife's side, (there are 6 altogether) and there are a few friends I would help out with 100K or so.
For me & my family, 1 million to go nuts with - do whatever we want. Buy some property and build the dream house in or around Calgary. (3-4 million or so) Bank the rest and hire someone I trust to help make some solid investments & live off the interest.
Eventually I would probably need to work just to stay grounded and not become completely selfish. Probably use some of it to start up a bike or ski shop that would be pretty well self-sufficient so I wouldn't have to be there all the time but would have something to do and not become completely aimless. I wouldn't need it to generate a pile of cash, even if it broke even that would be OK.
