A lot of those views are from the top of parkades.

While that may be true Regulator has also found himself on the roofs of buildings none of us have had access to as well.

I know my photos don't compare at all with most of the ones here, I thought I'd share my current favourite.

Agreed. So, when I see a well-designed building, especially within THIS city, I tend to get excited.

Needs opinions here:

Original
OR

Cropped
Which one do you like better? The first level of foreground is a bit untidy, but it adds texture, depth, and scale.

Crop 100%. The layers are well balanced.
The foreground in the original is very distracting and takes away from the scene.

For amusement, a few shots from the insanity of Venice Beach on a Saturday afternoon . . . . . left the big camera at home and just used a Sony Cybershot . . .
Below, snake lady and her slithering friends outside drumming up business for the $5 Freak Show. Coincidentally, on the flight home, we watched a Dog Whisperer episode where the owners of this Freak Show needed some help for their five-legged terrorizing terrier. Nice, normal people.
Below, Bang A Gong guy groovin' with his rythmically inclined bongo mates at an inpromptu concert beside the Venice Beach boardwalk . . . . I can't believe this guy isn't deaf. Or maybe he is.
Rockin' out . . . . I'm pretty sure most of these people didn't know each other.

Seriously, any one of these would likely win the photo of the year award at the Sun. You should try and submit them.

If you saw someone with Olympic mittens, a DSLR, and two point and shoot Canons attached to each other (my 3D camera)... that was me.

But no, I didn't see you I think. If you saw a guy in a rainsuit wearing an orange vest, that was me, lol.
