No, but the UV sterilizer seemed to work.

Okay - I've now got a 55 gallon tank. Geez, that was overkill. From a 12 to a 55. Yikes. How much energy do these aquarium heaters use? Or the filters? Mine pumps through something like 180 gallons an hour.

I've got one lonely goldfish in this giant empty tank. He (it) went from a bowl (seriously, a bow) where we were trying to grow snails. To a bucket (I felt bad about the bowl) to a 55 gallon tank.

Going to move the puffers from the 12 to the 55 in probably a month? Have to cycle the new tank. I dumped my snails and the one golfish in th 55 for now. Any suggestion as to what else I should put in there for now? I want to get a TON of snails growing for the puffers. I'll move them to the 12 gallon puffer tank when I swap them to the 55. Then I'll have a snail tank to grow snails to feed the puffers in the big tank.... Geez, what have I gotten myself into.

Anything I can do with the water that I take out of the tank when I clean? I heard it was good for growing plants? I don't want to waste it.

I take the water when I actually do a water change, as well as the poop that I vacuum from the gravel and toss it into the garden. The tomato plants seem to like it.

Every time I see this thread I keep thinking I am going to get to see pictures of big fish people have caught, and talk fishing.

I am dissapoint every time. (As GSP would say)

That's what I thought, and tried with the smaller tank. But I don't really have any plants (the GF had some bamboo shoots in glass vases and I just made a mess of them (crap, algae, etc) and I didn't notice any difference). Additionally that was with the smaller fresh water tank. Now I'll have a bigger brackish tank. I'm not sure about plants liking salty water?

Went to the new location today for the first time. If anyone is trying to find them, they have a ridiculously small font size on their sign that is tricky to read from the road. Just look for "Peplinski's Leasing" and it is in a strip mall adjacent to the North. They're on Meridian Road (parallel and visible to Barlow) between Centre Avenue and 4th Avenue NE.

They haven't updated their web site or anything, and they were a little hard to spot from the road.

Inside, of course, it is much like the old one. Not as old of a building and not as dingy, but still very much a wholesale, warehouse type of fish place. Tanks and cement floors. The owner said that they had some "issues" with the landlord at the Riverfront Avenue location and were essentially forced to move.
