I wanted to get that Millennium Falcon one, but its like $800!!

All the cool Lego is INSANELY expensive, its hard to justify buying something like that, my girlfriend would slap me in the face when she found out how much it cost.

That Star Destroyer is wicked!! How long did it take you to build that thing? I've seen the Lego Death Star too. They've got cool stuff.

Got that one for my birthday one year, I still think it is so cool.

These pesky Black Monarch guys were all over the battle field as well:

LoL and this one I remember just because of the backpacks and quivers.

That is the lego I remember - the ole imperial guards vs pirates.

I had 2 ships and a castle - it was awesome. Todays lego has all these special pieces, how are you to use any imagination these days when everything is custom made.

I am glad my parents havent sold my 3 buckets of lego - it will be a great gift for my son or daughter, whenever I get married that is

I remember the first time I got a white horse, I thought it was awesome, then I opened my next gift to find it had 4 white horses pulling some chariot thing I my excitement was muted.

Todays lego fun times has been replaced with women, model trains, and computer games.

I still have all three of those......I can't believe that a 10 year old was able to keep such pristine instructions and not loose/break/chew the pieces. My niece and I just built the sailing ship (and the smaller one) a couple of weeks ago. Just as much fun as 20 years ago.

Not to derail this thread, as I should post this in the BSTF, but I have an extra sealed Millennium Falcon (the >5000 piece one) for sale if anyone is interested. They are now discontinued. I built one and saved one, it took me many enjoyable hours putting that bad boy together. PM me if your interested with offers.

Very excited at this store opening up.

I should add, I will sell it for lower than what Lego was asking on their website ($680)

My parents still have my Pirate Island set of Lego. Will make a great set for the future kids of the family to play with. I can't believe how much time I spent playing with it. This store will be awesome.

Does anyone know of a site that might have scanned copies of instructions for older sets similar to the brick factory site listed above?

I also had the wolfpack wagon that carried all of their stuff.

How do you comfortably sit on a toilet made of Lego?

My parents never bought me true toys when I was a kid.

I always either got Lego, or when I was a little older Mechano which was quite awesome.

I had to buy my Darth Vader and Stormtrooper actions figures out of my own allowance.

Of course one year my aunt bought me the Cylon Bubble Machine. Totally lame.

I remember living in Germany in the early 90's when lego was cheap-ass and my parents ended up buying me almost the entire pirate set (mostly used, but its freaking lego so it didn't matter) and it was sheer awesomeness. I remember getting the huge red-coat base with the lifting bridge and crane and everything. I bought that in England with my Xmas money one year. I think it was 40 british pounds.

I got to use all my dad's old Lego, we had a giant rubbermaid bin full of his old stuff, my brother's and my collection. I loved the smell of the older Lego.

My brother got this for me for Christmas one year...took us like 2 weeks to build it, and at the end I had one piece left over...so we had to disassemble it and start ALL OVER AGAIN.

Still my favorite set to this day, though. I'm pretty sure I still have a couple of home-made spaceships kicking around out in my porch in a box somewhere.

Bunch of fataing youngin's here. When I first started playing with Lego, the people had no movable arms or legs, and no faces.

Frick we didn't even have people. You took two of the single pieces and put them together.

An astronaut was one single clear piece on top of one single white piece.

And we liked it like that

Your Black Seas Baracuda goes for about $150, more if its in better condition etc...

Just click on the link and click sets and then the theme you want

It's sad how world class cities would have a store like this in their downtown core with street accesse but Calgary has it in a boring mall.

I'd prefer it in a mall over downtown. I'll actually goto it in Chinook, rather then if it was in the core
