Wow all the Suns just got caught being fans there and watching Kobe's shot. Disgusting effort on defense. This one hurts even more because that Artest got the winning basket. What a f'ing heartbreaker

That was a pretty insane finish, Artest looks like and idiot one minute, the Suns come back on a huge 3 to tie it up, Kobe throws an air ball that Artest finds to put in the winner. Too bad, the Suns looked like they were done like dinner then came back and looked like they might be able to win it.
Nash was unbelievable. The guy continues to amaze me at times.

Anybody wonder how badly the coach is kicking himself for calling a time out? (IIRC, they only won because the Lakers got the ball in such nice position after)

Not at all. There defense on the shot was amazing, and all they needed to do was get that loose ball

Monster game from Kobe - just missed the triple double and played the whole second half and Derek Fisher had a nice game as well. Phil Jackson said he almost pulled Artest after the ill advised three point attempt

I'm not really a NBA fan. But I did watch this game and it was amazing in all aspects. You don't get much better drama then that. Clutch games from Nash and Kobe. Artest should never be allowed to give interviews.
"Hey you could have run out the clock, why did you take that shot?"
"We don't have shot clocks in the playground, you gotta drive for the hole"
What a maroon.

Damn Nash is amazing. There has to be something wrong with Artest. One of the dumbest players in the NBA, but he's got a heart of a lion.

Man I feel for Stevey. Another amazing performance in a playoff game and they just come up short. Guy is just a warrior and one of the best point guards every to play the game. Let's hope this team can rebound

You know, just play ball. I shoot like 40% so yah, just play ball you know? Yah, I play ball. Yo Sager...shout out to QB for me.
I'm pretty pissed right now. I managed to snag game 6 tickets and was looking forward to seeing the Suns close out at home. Guess I'll have to settle for finishing in LA.
Suns cannot win with the way Nash was conducting the flow of the game in the second quarter. He put them in a big hole with some poor decision making and yes, put in a lot of key buckets and a lot of points late, but the Suns win when the run the floor and pass it around. I just hope Richardson gets more touches in game six along with Dudley. Stoudemire needs to be way more aggressive down low and take a lesson from Amundson on how to box out.
The Lakers deserved to win this game and out-hustled the Suns. Turnovers + loosing 50/50 battles and the inability to run the floor cost the Suns this game. Here's hoping that the Suns will take it in 7.

Does Nash really need 6 minutes to rest in the 4th quarter? trim that to 3 minutes and I think they win the game.

What a heartbreaker to watch. I'm still pissed. I hate the Lakers so much, I can't even put it into words. That smug friggin Jackson drives me completely bonkers, and I would love to see someone finally just haul off and clock Kobe right in the face. Just once.
Let's see him shoot with his nose spread all over his face or one eye swollen shut like Nash has to do every playoff round.

I know how you feel. I was a diehard Sacramento Kings fan in the Webber/Bibby/Stojakovic/Divac/Christie days. Game 7 Western Conference Finals on home court and it goes to OT. The refs were horrible that game and admitted to cheating for the Lakers and one is in jail now because of it. As much as I dislike Kobe, he is a great player but I can't stand the Lakers. I hope Boston wins the other series because I think they can beat LA but Orlando can't IMO.

So before tonights game I was bored and started going through old youtube clips of VC when he's with the Raptors. That series against the 76ers when he just went off some games. I can't remember many falls from grace like Vince, he looked like he was destined to go down as one of the best ever. Fast forward to him tonight...

The funny thing about Vince was that about a year after he tore it up in the dunk competition, there were murmurs of a one for one swap Kobe for Vince based mostly on the premise that Vince was more of a marketing commodity and had to be in the US and that Kobe was equal value. I remember telling friends at the time that Vince is so much better and what's the point of doing such a deal. How wrong I was. Personally I feel that without the rape accusations against Kobe, I don't think he'd be the player he is today. After that incident, as far as I know, he doesn't go out much with others on the team anymore and he worked harder on his game which brought him to where he is today.

Seeing Vince on the edge of tears is an admittedly common occurrence but one that never gets old for me. The guy will never be a winner and his only chance at a ring is coming off the bench playing spot minutes for a stacked team somewhere down the line.
Averaging 13 points on 32% shooting in 30+ minutes in the ECF is a disgrace.

I've defended Vince so much over the last year, and seriously I'm so disappointed in how many possessions he just took off.
You'd think that with someone like Howard in the middle that will clean up your mistakes, takes hits no other player in the NBA has to take, and gives 100% every single defensive and offensive possession, you'd be inspired enough to help your team. You have Nelson, all 6 foot 0 of him, driving and finishing over Perkins, taking huge hits to do so, and fronting/guarding players much bigger than him.
I'm happy with everyone's effort for the Magic tonight except for Vince. Even when he was scoring, he's still fading away, shying away from contact and taking defensive possessions off. The rest of hte Magic just couldn't hit their open shots, and Boston hit a LOT of extremely tough shots.
So frustrated. I hope JJ Redick continues to develop, and then Vince can be the 6th man off the bench to provide a spark.
I'm cheering for whoever comes out of the west. I hate Paul "omg I've been shot, I need a wheelchair" Pierce, and Kevin "I play tough guy to anyone smaller than me but cry to refs if someone my size plays tough with me" Garnett.

Going to be a great finish in the Lakers/Suns game. The Dragic/Vujacic storyline is pretty entertaining.

Awful job by Gentry not getting Nash into the game till this late.
What a disgusting flop by Gasol on that last play. If the Lakers hold on, I can't wait to watch Garrnet just destroy him again in the post
