Yeah, I know the number isn't that impressive, but it translates into a lot of speed for a small car. 0-60mph in 6.2 is pretty good for a ~$30,000 hatch.

Agree with all except the 928. Hated those cares.
I also loved the Esprit. I saw one of these downtown the other day:
1980 Lotus Esprit
Also the Audi Quattro:
And the VW GTI. Back when they were actually light and nimble and knew how to take a corner:

Yeah, all those are great too, that Esprit was a beaut. I kind of even liked the Pontiac knock-off....except when people tried to turn it into a Countach, ha.
The 928 has always been a bit of a love/hate car, which I can see why. It was nice to see Porsche make attempts at something interesting though...as opposed to just rehashing a 911 and calling it something else like they do these days.

The last significant thing I can remember is the Cougar.

Hey has anybody seen the new 5.0 Mustangs yet? I went to Advantage Ford on Monday to test drive one but they didn't have any in the showroom or on the lot.

It's a shame about Mercury, because judging by the gallery underneath that article, they have one hell of a spokemodel.
