Are any of the ones mentioned good pub type places? I was planning a trip to Calgary with my brother for later in the year and we are both pub crawler types...

Tuesday night Bingo at The Castle is lots of fun.....many interesting prizes.
A Bar Named Sue is a great place to hear some young, local country artists

There's a really cool martini bar that just opened where Kyoto 17 used to be called the Well. Same clientelle as The Mercury, and most of the same bartenders.
WTF fotze, Cowboys as a 1st line center? That place is the Jaromir Jagr of the bar scene. All show but can never live up to the paycheque.
|
Kyoto 17 isn't there anymore? Wasn't there a rumour that place was haunted?

As funny and rediculous as that sounds, I've heard a lot about that too. You kinda wonder though.

Kyoto 17 is still there, but the lounge that they had is shut down (it's now "The Well"). It's a really cool martini bar owned by a friend of mine, and they sunk a whole pile of cash into the place so it's really comfortable and clean.
I'll end my shameless self promotion now.
