So Phelps and company are going to picket Dio's funeral... They might finally get their asses handed to them. Messing with Metalheads is not a good idea.

Fun Fact:

Fred Phelps went to the Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills, Alberta. 15 km's south of where I grew up.

I thought the name sounded familiar, then I remembered that he picketed Tim Mclean's funeral in Winnipeg (the person who was decapitated on the Greyhound bus).

Serious?

What years was he there? I know people who went to school there too, and they might be roughly the same age as Phelps.

This guy's one of the best things to happen to the gay rights movement.

With his over-the-top, venom filled sermons, he's a caricature of the anti-gay movement, which only serves to highlight the stupidity of it, dragging the less flamboyant down with him and undermining their efforts.

The man has lost his marbles. Not sure when but he has gone off the long peer never to return. I think most people see this and refuse to give him the time of day. Media loves him because he says outrageous things.

From what I understand, he was there from 1948-50 or 51.

This family has been in the news for years and years. I remember watching 'The Awful Truth' and Michael Moore chased him around with the Sodomobile.

If you go to Youtube and look up 'america's most hated family' and 'keith allen vs westboro baptist church' you can find some educational and entertaining stuff on this group of evil.

Hell, just look up Shirley Phelps. The crazy doesn't stop with Gramps.

Well thats interesting.

I've always known him to be a loon, but I didn't realize he went to PBI.

This just gives me more ammunition in my claim that PBI is a loon school.

Considering that he was a civil rights attorney, I'd love to believe that this is is all part of a decades long ingenious plan. Sadly, that's probably not the case.

Well, that's not really the same thing...
What your describing is stereotyping. Like when Americans say that Canadians are "Seal-clubbing, wood chopping, denim wearing, beaver loving, pot smoking, igloo living, eh-sayers"

To say that our entire Country is run and inhabited by homosexuals is different...
And if Americans weren't stupid, fat, uneducated rednecks then he would know that gays can't reproduce, rendering our country extinct

Depends what you call normal.

That they lead normal lives, sure. But the people I know have extremely messed up viewpoints.

Which wouldn't be surprising considering they went to a school that segregated boys and girls for many years.

Tat, Have you read some of the posts on this board from time to time? every time a waco American does something stupid it becomes "lets bash American" threads.

But I guess Alabama gets a bad rep but I can say I'm not from here. If you think Alabama is bad try LA, Miss, Arkansas, MO... Those make Alabama look like an awesome state.

Just a joke pal, I've been to all those states (Arkansas excluded) but my point is there's good and bad everywhere. It's not just an American thing, "bashing" in general is just a cool thing to do on the Internet.

The only other celebrity I know comes from Three Hills is Erica Durance from Smallville.

Fun Fact:

I like her Two Hills.
