I understand that there will be some Men out there that will say "A real man does not need help", but this obviously was not meant for you. Found this on youtube.
A friend of mine was in an abusive relationship. She'd essentially sit around and call him names, mock him, she hit him a couple times and he was too afraid to either hit back or break-up with her since she'd threatened to kill herself if he did at one point.
I do think it is different between men and women, but sometimes a guy does need help in a situation like this simply because they don't know what to do.

I've had a friend in a similar situation... Not so much the physical abuse, but very much mental. And she also threatened to kill herself.. It got to the point where they were both pretty suicidal.
It sounds immasculating from an outside party to hear that a man is on the wrong side of an abusive relationship, but people assume that its physical when most of the time its mental abuse.
There was a couple sitting across the aisle from me on the train the other day. The guy was sitting by the window and the girl was in the aisle seat across. Several people in the area were just chit-chatting; the guy asked how my day was.
The woman cursed him up and down and kicked him repeatedly in the knee as hard as she could. Then she asked him if he was going to hit on me next. I'd never seen anything so brutal from a woman. Talk about feeling uncomfortable. The guy was older and the woman was pretty hot. As the conversation went on they mentioned they'd been together several years. We were at a loss for words.
I couldn't find anything recent about it, so maybe it's gone, but at one point it did exist in Calgary.
The commercial is based from Statistics Canada. If something exists it is based on non government assistance. These statistics are based on government statistics only. If you can't remember the only one availalbe that you know of... Is that not the point?

I was at the grocery store and my girl friend and I were in an isle. There was a couple there and the lady was all over nagging to this poor guy. Didn't say anything back to her. Didn't tell her where the line was. I remember her saying, "Don't think that you special." While this fits in a comedy on TV it never belongs in real life. 5 billion of us and each one is special. I was humiliated for him. I literally wanted to puch her in the nastiest.

Dude when it comes to the Canucks, it could be a team of Adolf Hitler, Pol Pot, Augusto Pinochet, Josef Stalin and Kim Jong Il and if one of them scores against the Canucks you take it.
Man: Say Phil, what do you say to Happy Hour after work? Phil: I'd say looks like Cheryl's gonna have another black eye to explain to the neighbours.
[both laugh] Phil: Come on, I'm buyin

I wouldn't word it quite like Mikey, but I have to admit I don't understand why people stay in abusive relationships for the most part, either.
