I'm sure Richard is alive as he is supposed to live forever. However, that deal was made with Jacob so perhaps he becomes mortal when Jacob expires? But at the time Smokey got him outside the house it was broad daylight, and Jack wasn't handed over the reins until it was quite dark out.
I thought the way Lapidus bought it was weak. At least they could have shown a more definitive shot of him getting owned than the behind shot of the door hitting him- kinda misleading.
Should be interesting how they do the concert scene and bring everyone together. I've been looking forward to sunday since 2004.

Ya I liked Lapidus....but it seemed like his Character had no real purpose....he was just tagging along the whole time.....I don't think he had a back story either did he?
However he did have one of my favorite lines from the show......
When they were all on the plane for the "second crash" and Lapidus, the Captain of the plane goes back into the cabin, has a look at Jack and all of the other familiar faces on the plane,then he turns back to Jack and looks him dead in the eye and says almost Clint Eastwood like "Were not going to Guam are we"
Maybe it was just me but that struck me as hilarious.

At the core of lost is the fans relationship with the characters. As much as the science of the show adds to it, at the core of the show is a story about these people.
Dark UFO shut down this week..so glad because I'm the kind've guy that would've caved and read the spoilers. Exciting to think the finale is only two days away. Been a different type of season for me, because I watched the first 5 all this summer and just went through them so quick. First time I've had to watch a season in real time with the week break between each episode. It's tough too and I don't know how some people have lasted!
Tomorrow we get the Lost recap show, the 2 1/2 hour finale and then the Kimmell special afterwards, which I'm really looking forward to just because Kimmell has been such a huge fan the entire series
I am sad because the finale is almost here and then there will be no more Lost to watch.
i think by this time it just needs to be put out of it's misery. with such stupid plotlines like the magical light and the mother/smokey being adam and eve, it's obvious the writers really didn't have clue where they were going this whole time and rushed to finish everything. and the fact that Jack, Kate, and Hurley have survived while so many other great characters in the show were killed off is a travesty. i'm sure we'll get more then our quota of Kate saying "Jack!", Jack looking dramatic, and Hurley saying "Dude" tomorrow
