Hot damn. Definitely something to try on a weekend. Not sure about the cap'n crunch (although I can see people doing it), but I'm a PB&B fan and a french toast fan so why not both!

Peanut butter and captain crunch cereal is awesome. I've had the tubby dog with capn crunch, jam and peanut butter and it's amazing.

It really isn't that much. It seems like it volume wise, but isn't.
Consider a little box of eggs. Equivalent to the small milk you used to get in lunch rooms at school (if you got milk). It's 250 grams.

That's 8 egg whites, or 120 calories and 28 grams of protein and pretty much nothing else. I put some cheese on that. Don't know what it equates to.

Now looking at my porridge 1/2 cup is equal to 225 calories. Plus whatever the piddly amount of skim mile I eat (and leave in the bowl when done lol) is.

My breakfast before a few pieces of cheese and milk is 370 calories. As an extremely active person some random Internet calculator just said I should consume 3386 calories per day. Looks like my massive breakfast is 11% of my day. Maybe with milk and cheese it's 450 - 500 calories (no idea), putting me at 13 - 15% of my daily requirement.

If I was very active 15.6 - 17.3%
If I was moderately active 17.7 - 19.6%

This is for an individual, male, 200 lbs, 6 foot.

By this math I should be eating more

Ever notice when a man says he is 200 lbs it sounds attractive?
A woman....not so much.

I have a breakfast question.

After many years of terrible eating habits (Read: mega cups of coffee all day, followed by big meal after 7 PM) I am trying to eat healthier, more fruits, veggies, no more caffeine, etc.

Everything I have read says DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST. But I just don't feel like it. Sometimes I am hungry then, but for the most part not. Even if I am hungry, I am fine with just a glass of juice.
Time is not an issue, I work from home....

I think it is just a habit I need to break. Wondering if anyone has some suggestions.

I can't eat the same Cereal for a week its odd.
I my self would love to eat Thick Belgium Waffles with berry's and whipped cream every morning but they would be unhealthy and not filling in the long run.

I love my Dark Roast Coffee in a French Press in the morning but now reserve that for weekends.

Every morning I make Two packs of Natures Path Organic Ginger and Cranberry Oatmeal and 2 cups of some form of Green Tea, hop out of the shower and eat. When I'm ready to leave I normally pound back a protean powder with water (I slam on a bike and pound too and from work)
and It keeps me pretty full for the majority of the morning.

I also find a handfull of nuts can work wonders.

I've never been a breakfast person, but I try and pack myself 1 slice of bread with some peanut butter or something and eat it at work early in the morning. Never hungry enough to eat when I wake up, but at around 10ish or so I'll take a quick snack. If I'm lucky I'll have some berries ready to snack on at that time, but mostly just a slice of bread.

I know that my mom only eats 2 pieces of small toast for breakfast and then has a couple of snacks throughout the morning (orange, yogurt, etc.) Maybe the key is to have smaller portions more often?

Instant Oatmeal at work...pour a pouch in a coffee mug, add hot water from the coffee machine and done! Stop eating on "your" time when you can get paid to eat

I'm the same way. I have to force myself to eat breakfast, or I wait until lunch and bige on burgers.

Find something you like, and try eating it every day. I found that I REALLY like royal gala apples and vanilla yogurt, as well as egg whites with low fat deli meat mixed into them. I eat those every day, still drink loads of coffee, but I find it helps with the cravings and cuts down on the size of lunch I eat (I get away with a chicken salad until dinner).

I dated a girl that was some kind of nutritionist and she said that you shouldn't eat fruits after 6pm (too much sugar to digest) and that your dinner should be around that time as well. She recommended carbs and fruit in the morning, protein in the afternoon and night. I kinda stick to that now, and I've dropped 15lbs over th last 18 months. I'm an extremely active person though too, so who knows.

I should point out that I am no expert. I still live for coffee, french fries and volos pizza.

And bacon.

Just force yourself to eat it. Seriously, I skipped breakfeast all through high school and most of University. When it was time to start working on a better diet for weight lifting breakfeast was the building block and it was pure hell trying to down anything. You also need to find what works for you, some things you might just not want to eat in the morning, other things might go down easier. Find a combo and run with it.

But check out that fruit juice, you might think it is good for you because it is a juice and not coffee, but chances are there is over 20 grams of sugar in that little cup you just drank. Depending on your diet, not what you want to start your day with.

MMMMMmmm 200lbs,

I dunno, try not eating such a big dinner and so late. I usually eat a huge dinner, but usally I do a ton of activity post work. I find the days that I take off for some reason (at night) I still eat my same supper. Come morning I'm not nearly as hungry.

I'm terrible for not eating breakfast - I too, don't care to eat first thing in the morning. But when I do get my act together, I like to buy a tub of Liberte yogurt (flavoured, I like the berry ones), take it to work and eat about 1/4-1/3 of the tub mixed with a fibre-rich cereal like Kashi or granola. By the time I eat at work I've been up for about an hour and can handle a bit more food, but it's not "rock in your gut" breakfast food like some stuff. I then try to have some fruit mid-morning.

Of course, that's my best case scenario. This morning I had a meatless egg mcmuffin from Mc D's. Not the greatest breakfast by far.
