Phil Jackson.

Why do I keep thinking I'm going to see him standing on 3rd Ave downtown with a bucket of chicken and a golden, jewel-encrusted cane?

man it's so tough for the Suns they need to be dynamite on the offense end because defensive stops are limited. So many open 3's for the Lakers.

Not a good start to the 4th quarter for the Suns

Dragic stinks. He has made 2 bad plays already this quarter.

The Lakers are just better then Phoenix and Bryant is the best player in the game when it is on the line.

Hopefully Boston can beat LA.

I don't think Phoenix will ever win it all with this run and gun style. The Lakers, Spurs, Pistons and Celtics have been able to score but have been able to play defense in recent years and have won the championship. It reminds me of when Nash was on Dallas. They would try and beat people like 122-120 or something. You need to be able to play defense too.

Phoenix actually has a league average defence. They were 16th in defensive efficiency this year, and while that isn't as good as the Magic, Lakers or Celtics, in theory it should be passable when they have by and away the best offensive efficiency. This is a massive improvement from the actual run and gun Suns, who ranked anywhere from 25th to 28th in defensive efficiency. This is actually one of the reasons they've made it this far compared to previous years.

However, I feel the main issue with the Suns is that they haven't adjusted to the brilliance of Kobe. They're not only letting him get his points, but they're allowing everyone else to get points too. The best way to play against the Lakers is really stay home on everyone and play Kobe 1 on 1. He might get 40, 50 or even 81, but it's better than him dishing to gasol/artest/fisher for open layups and 3's. When Kobe has 13 assists, you're going to lose.

They're also getting crushed on the glass, and while it's mostly due to the size of the Lakers, they still need to do a better job. A lot of times the offensive rebounds purely came from a lack of boxing out.

Oh well, the Suns can regroup at home. They just need to hold the Lakers under 50% shooting and they should be able to win with their ridiculous offence.

What was with the audio for the first few minutes of the first? It was switching back and forth btw English and Spanish, and then there was no audio for a bit...

I actually don't think it's the run and gun style of the Suns that is causing the issue... it's the fact that they have no size on the inside and are being murdered inside. It's basically two free points for the Lakers when they throw it down low to Gasol/Odom/Bynum. It's hard to continiously put up points when you know the opponent is guaranteed two points at their will.

I guess that goes with the 'no defense' theory.. but I think it's more of a roster issue. All the high-end teams left have at least some size on the inside and that would cause matchup nightmares for the Suns.

Too bad for Kid Canada though.. I want him to get that Championship he so badly deserves.

I figured the Celtics would win this series but wasn't expecting it to be so one-sided.

Overall these playoffs have been terrible.

I have to agree. No drama in any of the series really.

I can't believe the Magic just laid down tonight. After the season they've had I figured they'd give it a serious go, but they just got plain outworked and outhustled (as well as out-talented/out-everythinged). So disappointing.

The Suns really stunned the Lakers with their zone defence... Paired with AS1's big game and the Suns playing aggressively, they pulled off a much needed win.

Nash playing through yet another broken nose. The look on Grant Hill's face was hilarious when Nash was trying to straighten out his nose.

I wonder if he is going to need surgery anytime soon on that nose. Maybe he'll have to wear a mask?
