Why not just let 'em drive the plane?

If you have ever worked at an airport you wouldnt want your dog to be put in the baggage hold IMO of course.

Our highly stressed dog (all 70lbs of her) made the nine hour flight from England with no problem (or accidents) in the hold. We were told that under no circumstances would be allowed to administer any sedatives to her. We did, however, obtain her air crate a year ahead of the intended flight date. We made it her 'safe' place - where she went to have her daily denta stick, etc. We never shut the door on her in there until the day she flew. She came through with flying colours!

One bit we were told by Air Canada was that when the Captain knows there is a dog in the hold he makes extra sure to try to avoid any turbulence. Had that confirmed by a Cathay Pacific pilot we know. Precious cargo and all that.

Y'know if an airline actually let big dogs in the cabin I'd probably be more likely to fly with that airline regardless of whether my dog was flying with me or not.

Nothing would pass the time faster on an 8 hour flight than playing with a bunch of dogs.
