We would never kid about something so sacred.

I remember when Calaway Park was flinstones inspired. Is Old MacDonald Farm still there? Havent been back to Kelowna since my Grandfather died in 1999. There was always great fruit stands and a drive out to Armstrong for some cheese sampling/buying is worthwhile.

I believe that the land where Old MacDonald's Farm sat is now a Wal Mart. It might have been just down the road from there, someone can correct me I'm sure if it's not exactly the right place...but it's definitely gone.

If you were looking for a "family" sort of thing to do, the "Rutland May Days" are happening this weekend. I know, Rutland isn't the best part of town according to some, but the event looks family friendly. The West Coast Amusements people will be there with the rides and there will be a petting zoo for the kids.

I'll agree with the food at Summerhill winery...it's great. In my opinion, there are better wines around than theirs, but the food is really good. If you like Mexican food, try Hector's Casa on Lakeshore. The Jammery is the best breakfast in town, and don't let anyone tell you different. As you might expect from the name, their jam is pretty good too.

There is/was a cool little 'driving school' for kids in Gibson (I think it's called) that my parents put me in when I was a wee lad. It was pretty cool. Not sure it's there anymore, it was when I was last there visiting the grandparents, 5 years ago or so.

The other thing about that area, you can't go a block anywhere, damn near, without finding go karts. It's like Starbucks in BC.
