You could just see that once the Hitmen could get one by Grubauer the floodgates would open.

A lot of luck for the Hitmen too right now, Jones has come up with timely saves and Nemisz just did a "double-down doink" according to Loubardias.

Ton of momentum right now for the Hitmen.

Another crossbar from the Spitfires. That's three this period. Hitmen have to take advantage.

Agreed. Very fun to watch at least!
Anyone know what Kozun is out with by chance?

Hitmen were the better team again. Unfortunately, Jones looks really shaky tonight but the Hitmen are battling. Win or lose, at least they know they can compete with Windsor in the playoff round.

Ankle injury. It's probably good they're keeping him out, he played in game 1 but looked terrible.

Ankle/foot injury from game 5 of the WHL finals. Most likely a high ankle sprain but that has not been confirmed as far as I know.

One thing I am noticing from the Hitmen tonight, they are not letting Windsor intimidate them.

I absolutely love the belief and confidence from this group. The minute they got down 3-0 they started playing with more confidence instead of less. They score a goal, Windsor hits the post, then they kill of a penalty and score seconds later.

Just amazing what you can do as a team, when everyone believes. Win or lose, they can keep up with Windsor and will likely get another shot at them in the Finals.

I was a little worried going into the game tonight. No Kozun and the potent offense and defense that Windsor has, I thought it was going to be a long game for the Hitmen. What a great game so far. Keep on believing boys.

So if Windsor runs the table in the round robin it looks like back to back with Brandon. Guaranteed semifinal Brandon vs Calgary.

Windsor has punched their ticket into the final tonight. We need Moncton to lose tomorrow if they somehow how win which I doubt they will it all comes down to goals for and goals against to decide the tiebreaker.

Well despite the loss the Hitmen were actually pretty good tonight. They controlled most of the games and it really came down to goaltending. Windsor's goalie was excellent and Marty was awful. Hopefully Kozie is able to go on the weekend. As I don't think the game Wednesday will mean anything.

Don't know if it's been mentioned yet but anyways the time of the final game has been moved back 4 hours to 5:00 PM Calgary time on Sunday. Works out good for me since I have to work that day.

good grief - lighten up....ya gotta remember that these are kids who are 17.

a little adversity is not the end of the world....the spits beat the 'men by a couple of goals with a sub-par Jones and no kozun - I expect a different outcome Sunday.

as an aside someone mentioned about moncton bussing to brandon - it is my understanding that each league pays for thier champion to fly to the memorial cup.

i thought those uni's worn by brandon were very classy and respectful. their is a large military base just outside of brandon
