Would it be impossible for one to enjoy the outdoors AND a couple drinks around the fire in the same day?

Are you a teatotaler, or just a d_ick?

What exactly was your post implying anyways? Just curious, because it looked so ridiculous on the surface that you must have meant something by the post that I didn't catch.

As far as this thread topic goes, camping without booze is not camping in my books. I'm not there to get gunned, but if I can't self soothe with a cold beer after the pain and suffering of setting up my old POS tent trailer it's not going to be pretty.

There are 600 campgrounds in Alberta, they've only taken away 10. Find one where there isnt a liquor ban. Do you guys complain about the safeway section at the Stamps games too?

Why don't these problem camp sites charge a $500 deposit for each camp stall. You cause a disturbance, you loose your deposit. I bet that would prevent a bunch of yjese bone heads from even going to these camp grounds.

Pretty sure there is a ban on toking dope in parks as well. And by parks I mean Canada.

Just see the "what grinds my gears" thread for that. As for spending your money, don't use exact change or carry a lot of change. As for clothes, no Ed Hardy, skinny jeans or flip flops.

How about a ban on blaring Gordon Lightfoot or David Wilcox music?

One thing has nothing to do with the other.
Go home and get drunk in your basement and let the people who will actually enjoy the out doors have your camping spot.

What is with that David Wilcox music, if you can call it music. ??

Stop complaining and go somewhere else to camp... Families and people who like peace and quiet need a place to camp too.

If you want to drink while camping there are still hundreds of sites not under the ban for you to go to. There are about 500 provincial parks in Alberta - so you still have a ton to pick from.

But people get lost and we have to pay money to find them and sometimes they get killed by wildlife.

If I want to have a drink at night (after a day of hiking) I should be allowed to, do you go hiking at night?

Hiking should be banned. I won't blame the goverment for the no hiking rule I will just be mad at the idiots who wreck it for the rest of us.

If you don't like it "Suck it up". and have a drink instead we have some of the best beers in the world here.

I like this ban, I know there are a lot of people who drink responsibly, but its the jackass that tries to shows how loud his quad engine or pickup stereo is at 3 am that ruins it for everyone.

i hope that Blairmore does the same thing for Thunder in the Valley, may long is bad for morons coming out in force, and most of them camp locally, but that seems to be the annual ###### convention.

Do my tax dollars help pay for the Safeway section at the Stamps games?

Perhaps a family section at a campground might be a solution. Those loud kids bug the hell out of me. I just hope they don't go on my lawn when I am not home.

This is yet another cash cow. They know pretty well that people get out camping / drinking on long weekends. What ever happened to drunk and disorderly? That rule has always applied.

But as someone said, it only affects 10 campgrounds. Maybe there should be a few no-drinking campgrounds around as yes it can get loud!
