Well, a new trailer of the multiplayer aspect came out today, and it is nothing short of spectacular. I am not that big of a halo fanboy (yes, I have the helmet, and will get the highest edition of reach) but this looks totally awesome.
- Loadouts
- New gametypes
- Jetpacks
- Stealth kills
Looks to me like there will be some hand-to-hand combat which is totally bad ass. The new gamemodes look sick, especially "Invasion". Jet packs will add a whole new element to the game (air combat). Loadouts like CoD will make game play better IMO because you will have your weapon of choice to begin with rather than finding it on the map.
May 3rd is the beta. I will be buying ODST at the end of April to get myself prepared.
Best part though, the Halo 1 pistol looks to be back for multiplayer!!
Apparently Bungie's servers set on fire, literally set on fire, because of how many people were trying to play (over 600,000). I bought the game off eBay and I am awaiting it any day now, I hope it comes soon though so I can play the beta!
The gameplay seems to be a bit of a cross between Halo 1 and Halo 3.
Loadouts are interesting, because you can choose abilities that suit certain situations.
Spartans can choose to go invisible, have a sprint, jetpack, armor lock (invulnerability for 5 seconds or so).
Elites can dive roll.
The gameplay will be great when they refine it, but for now its interesting getting to know how to use the new weapons.

Played a bit today, like some of the newer games - and the armor abilities make it interesting. The new melee doesn't allow just a one hit beat down as well which is nice, first must knock shields, then melee.
edit - what the muff, anyone else find it super annoying that when you sprint you re- your gun?
I've had a lot of fun playing it. I read some of the Reach forums for feedback and some people are railing it saying that they made it too easy and that loadouts suck because it's removed map control, blah, blah, blah, some people just take it waaayyy too seriously.
I have a heck of a lot of fun playing it.

I'm having a ton of fun too. I am excited for the loadouts in the full game, see what else they add. People complaining are just complaining because they either suck, or don't like change. But after 4 Halo's, I would hope there'd be a lot of change, and so far I like all the change.

Finally my copy came in the mail and I am loving the beta so far. It is good 'ol Halo, but the new load outs are awesome.

Carry me along? LOL, whoop your ass.
It is weird, I haven't played a Halo game since 2008. I play Reach and the first 9 games of Slayer I play I win them all and my K/D cdombined is 1.82. I go to Halo 3, and I go 1/15 my first match.
Haha yea I think Reach is a bit more forgiving than Halo 3.
Have you played much Arena Slayer? What's your rank?
