I'm gonna make a wild assumption here but you're a drywall guy? In my experience the painters and drywall guys do the nastiest stuff. Like others have mentioned they usually do it empty cans but this is the first time I've seen this.
I'm a contractor, so I see it all. Painters, finishers and tile guys are really bad too.
When I was on the track team in highschool, one of my teammates told me that he'd discovered that someone had taken a crap in the lockerroom sink. I made some comments about what kind of messed up person would do something like that, then didn't really think about it until the next day when the understandbly upset coach said that the whole team had to do pushups until the sink-crapper outted himself. Eventually, the kid who'd told me about the crap admitted that he was the one who'd done it. I have no idea why, but I felt kindof bad about the things I'd said.
When I built my first house up in Cougar Ridge I went up one day to have a look and see how it was going. I was wandering around the house when my dog came running up the basement stairs, mouth full of toilet paper.
I went down and had a look, and over in the corner someone had dug a little hole in the gravel (basement wasn't poured yet) and was using it as a shatter.
I complained to the builder, and the next day the floor was poured. They assured me that it was all cleaned up......as if. They poured over the crap and sealed it for the next 100 years in the cement.

Think about it as a future geological discovery just waiting to happen. Future scientists will be ecstatic to find fossilized poop with Dorito fragments.

The supervisor told me today he thinks that someone found poop in a 5 gallon pale and was so disgusted he just dumped it in the closet to teach the painters(last trades in the house) a lesson since they had to come back and finish the walls.
Lol yah its those damn auto editers. I tried typing in Luongo on my Mac but it kept typing it in as poop. I finally was able to use my blackberry and change it.

My folks used to own the little Esso gas station that was at the end of the K-mart parking lot in the Marlborough area years ago. Some of the horror stories my mom would come home telling me about their washroom, and people defecating the store would have me in stitches laughing. On many occasions, seemed almost weekly, the washroom, which was accessed from the outside of the store with a key, would be from floor to ceiling, covered in crap. People would litterally crap in their hands, and wipe the enitre 5x5 room with everything they had in their bowls. It wasn't all that bad cause they'd just open the door and with the hose spray the entire room down until all the crap was blasted off the walls and flushed out. One time, after discovering that this had happened but before it could be cleaned, a little lady with a long skirt asked my mom for the key use the facility. My mom explained what had happened, and that it wasn't clean yet, the lady kindly left the store, walked right in the middle of the pump island, all in service, lifted her skirt to her waist, and with everyone watching, laid the biggest king coiler that any man women or child would ever care to witness, then walked back in to the store, and politely said "Next time you'll be more propt in cleaning your wahrooms. You have yourself and grand day, okay."

I used to work for a developer / home builder. On a plane ride to Grande Prairie, our VP of housing was discussing a lawsuit the company was recently served with, regarding a similar incident. A homeowner who bought one of the new homes 4 years ago had to open up one of the walls for some renovation reason and when he did, he found an empty paint can with a big turd in it. He also mentioned in the lawsuit how there were flies flying around in the wall. This sounded very suspecious, but his claim in the lawsuit was mental anguish and costs to rip out all of the walls in the home to find other 'mysterious turds in paintcans'.
A contractor in town should have no excuse. I always keep TP in the trailer in case I'm out of town and have to find a bush, but in town there is no end to Tim Hortons or gas stations you could run to.
