What does that have to do with anything. Why chase him, grab him take the risk of hurting him with a tackle, or getting injured yourself.

In fact they should increase the tazer's range and put a sniper scope on it.

I dunno, maybe it's just me but I expect a Cop to be physically capable of kicking your ass without zapping you with 80,000 volts.

In this day and age where any contact results in a review by infernal affairs and the need to hire a lawyer because the person cries personal injury or police brutality.

So the cop catches this kid and squashes him, maybe breaks a bone or two in the morons body, and every personal injury lawyer out there is approaching this kid to sue.

Plus who knows what this kids intentions are, is he out for a good time, is he going to go stabby or gunny on someone. Put him down in the fastest way possible.

Maybe he didn't want to risk getting touching the other guys dong. That would be my #1 concern.

I get your point, but people have died from tasers, that sounds like a lawyers wet dream. Not only that, taser someone and they fall onto a hard surface they can and have sustained very serious injuries. The thing is when you get zapped, you drop and have absolutely no control, which is very dangerous. It is worse than passing out because you also tense up and become stiff.

I'm against tasers I think they are the making wimps out of law enforcement.

Using a Taser on someone can't be concidered Police brutality? Not trying to pick a fight or anything but I'm just saying why should the police be afraid of physically taking down a guy and resort to taser use? Next thing you know everyone is going to be tasered.

How can it in this case. Its not like they kept shooting him when he's down. Or 10 cops plugged him.

Police shouldn't be afraid of taking someone down, however I keep going back to A) you splatter someone and get sued. B) You move into the dangerous weapon area, what if the guys carrying a knife, or a slap jack.

Tasers have turned cops into a bunch of pathetic bullies....

You can look up countless videos of cops abusing tasers and zapping people for very negligible reasons...and sometimes killing them.

Way to stereotype.

What do you do for a living, I'm sure there's a percentage of bags in your chosen field.

we must be misinterpreting what each other is saying because in response to a) can you not get sued using a taser?

Oh sure, you can get sued over using a taser, and there's a possibility that you can die from a taser, just like you can die from a bad tackle.

But when you combine the two factors together including officer protection, I still feel that the tazer is a better option then the tackling

Am I the only one that views people running onto the field as part of the fun of attending a live sporting event?
