I used an open dumpster last week when I was moving and my condo's compactor couldnt' handle some of the stuff I needed to throw out.
I dumped my stuff at 3am, in the sideways sleet.
If they don't want me using it, don't leave it out in the open, easily accessible, and unlocked.
It's called trespassing. Do you know what else is in the open, easily accessible, and unlocked....your backyard. Does that mean I get to dump my trash there?
The Following User Says Thank You to blankall For This Useful Post:
We used to have an industrial yard in Fairview that was full of scrap metal that we recycled. Although it looked like it was a bunch of junk, it was all sorted by alloy and size, and was actually quite expensive to purchase. We used it to cast fairly high grade steel parts for the mining industry.
This didn't stop people from dropping off fridges, stoves, christmas trees, furniture, building materials etc etc etc into our yard. Having to pay a guy to get rid of 5 fridges full of freon every Monday was fun times.....just because some selfish a-hole wouldn't dispose of it properly.
Anyone who has driven past Calgary Metal on Monday morning knows exactly what I'm talking about. I feel sorry for those guys; it's like a public dumping ground over the weekend, and they can't do anything about it.
I'm not arguing anything if you actually read your own post and mine. I'm asking what the difference is. Why is it okay for teenagers to be publicly humilated but not others?
Again....what's the difference?
There is no difference. I thought I made that clear with that teenage punk sentence. No difference in crimes but I still feel bad they are being humiliated. Probably hypocritical of me, but I wouldnkt feel sympathy if It was teenage punks being humiliated.

At least you admit your hypocrisy. The next step is to change your stance to avoid acting insane.

Ok...so why feel sympathy for them and not punks. I feel sympathy for neither. The only diff I see being any factor at all is these people are older and SHOULD no better. A couple 18 year olds doing it should know better too, but at least have the "young and stupid" still going for them as an excuse.

Yeah, sorry, but .
Anyway, glad they got caught. I have no idea what they were thinking; I just don't get stuff like this.

I feel sympathy for the older people because they actually have built a life around their reputation, and it's all going to be squashed with one mistake. I'd hate to be a 60 year old walking into my work the next day after the whole office just seen your 15 minutes of shame on the local news station.

I'd be willing to put down some money on the fact that they haven't done this just once.....
