I kinda feel bad for the couple. Having them receive a fine is punishment enough. What they did was wrong, but having your face shown to the whole city is over kill IMO. I guess I just feel bad because they are elderly. If it was 2 jackass teenagers I'd probably be happy they were emberassed.

Screw them. I don't feel sorry for willfully lazy people. It serves them right to have their faces plastered across the city. They dumped their garbage in a city park of all places.

I used an open dumpster last week when I was moving and my condo's compactor couldnt' handle some of the stuff I needed to throw out.

I dumped my stuff at 3am, in the sideways sleet.

If they don't want me using it, don't leave it out in the open, easily accessible, and unlocked.

Just Because I usually have more sympathy for the elderly. I never said they didn't know any better just that I feel bad that their faces are being publicized. Doesn't mean I think they shouldn't be punished, but a $750 dollar fine is a pretty good deterent.

On the other hand maybe having their faces publicized can deter other people from wanting to illegally dump if they think that maybe their faces can end up on the news.

Had to move in the morning. And I am about 30 minutes away from any dump and 30 seconds from a dumpster.

Not saying it isn't "wrong" but I did it and I'll do it again. An open dumpster that a business leaves open and unlocked- maybe it isn't nice of me to drop 3 bags of garbage in there, but at the end of the day they probably didn't even notice.

However, leaving stuff in NGP... specifically where it is not supposed to be, that is bad and I hope they get fined.
