It has multiplayer too. Very excited for this game, looks really good. Hopefully it is funner than GTA IV was, because I am sure it will be just as brilliant, tech wise.
This game looks amazing. GTA in the Wild West...What's not to like?
I also like that it's set in the early part of the 20th Century, so that they can get away with putting some modern weapons and stuff into it (modern for a western, there won't be any RPGs or Uzis).

So many games. I just don't have time to play all of these. I was pretty much totally set to ride out the summer with the games I have, but this is ridiculous. The urge to buy this is strong.

I know what you mean, looks like I'm going to be pasty white all summer

I still have to complete my spec ops and trophy hunt in MW2, finish Heavy Rain when I get the nerve and stop being scared to play it, pick up Assassins Creed 2, explore the GTA IV expansion packs AND of course during all this keep plugging away at my epic NHL 10 dynasty. All this on probably 3 hours of gameplay per week. At this rate I should get around to red dead in the spring of 2011.
On the upside, not having games has done wonders for my bank account. I can get almost every game at half price once the hype dies down.

I can relate. Between hockey and world cup, P90x, and then games...I will have no life. I still haven't played games I bought 2 years ago. Sad but I have been seriously cutting back to only top notch games. This one definitely is on my list as I like Rockstar's regular installments.
This game looks awesome. GTA IV was my favourite game of this generation, so if this builds upon that, I'm definitely interested. I love the wild west environment they've created.

I popped in red dead revolver today...it hasn't aged well. And the backwards compatibility in the 360 was giving graphic glitches. So I played a bit of GUN instead...it's fun too and more open world than the first red dead game. A good rental while you wait for redemption.
When this game comes out, let's start a CP Party and go hunting for bears. MWUAHAHAHAHA
Finally DESS can have his way.
The free roam multiplayer (see vid posted above) seems awesome. It blurs the line between MMORPG and FPS, which is exactly what a time strapped person like me needs.
I want an open world that I can putter around in and get involved in at my own pace, without the grinding, but I also find straight FPS shooters get boring with the small maps that you basically have to memorize, etc. This looks like a good balance.
