Default PS3 Problems

MODS, PLEASE DELETE....PROBLEM HAS BEEN FIXED

Sorry if there's a better thread for this, but I can't find anything like that and I'm uber pissed off right now.

I watched a blu ray before I went out last night, then I come home to put in another into my ps3 and the TV won't read the signal. I didn't unhook any wires, I didn't move anything. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. I turn on the system, and nothing. The power comes on like normal but when I put it on Video 6(HDMI), I got nothing. When I put it on Video 3(where the red, yellow, white are hooked into), I can hear sounds(boot up sound, clicks when I use the remote, I even was able to get a game going. I hear NHL 10 music) but I have no picture when I go back to Video 6.

This is really frustrating, because it was working just fine before I went out last night. Everything is hooked up fine, I just don't get it.

Any help or suggestions here would be great. I've tried going to a couple troubleshooting sites, but I can't seem to find what im looking for.

Please help!!

It is odd that it would happen with the same TV but it has to do with the PS3 recognizing TV configurations after the initial set up. It won't default back. You have to do it manually.

All you have to do is unhook all connections (I don't even know if that is necessary) Hook them all back up. Turn on physical power switch at the back and then instead of tapping the power button on the front, hold it and the PS3 will do a power cycle to go back to default display settings. Then turn it on and it should work.

You don't lose anything you just have to go back and set up your display settings again which takes all of 30 seconds.

Same thing happened to me and I freaked out thinking the GPU had gone or something, but with a little help from Mr Google all was well again.

Nope that's no necessary, the ps3 will detect what cables are plugged in after holding down the power button for the beep.
