Dammit. This is why Liverpool will never win anything of consequence. The talent dropoff from Torres to Ngog is like jumping into the Grand Canyon. They cant get anywhere without someone to help Torres score some damned goals.

ya with every team except Chelsea and Man U it comes down to good buys

if Liverpool had used the 20 million they used to buy Keane on someone else...

new owners should have some money to spend though

And Ngog scores a goal. Finally.

I wonder what sort of odd you would get on Lennon stubbing his toe and being out until September? I'd say 5/2.

Spurs were never really in it. Were lucky to be 1-1. Hate to say it but United's class showed through.

Things will get very interesting if City beats Arsenal today.

23rd premiership goal for Darren Bent, 9 in the last 9 games.. making it hard for Capello to leave him out of South Africa

I wouldn't say that's entirely true. Palacios and BAE were dreadful, but I thought the rest of the team played well enough for a point.

On a side note, that pitch was awful today.

To be fair I wasn't worried about us conceding until the penalty. Nani's goal was sublime but both penalties were stupid mistake and totally avoidable. Oh well - onwards and upwards.

SIDE NOTE: Any of you Spurs fans going to San JOse in July to see the game?

I'd love to but I doubt I'll have the money. Any idea when tickets go on sale?

General public is May 10. I'm flying down in the AM and coming back in the evening. That's plan assuming I can get tickets and it's a day game.

That's sweet! However, it also shows why sports in NA just isn't the same. Being able to travel with your team week in and week out adds a special dynamic we don't get in NA. For instance, next weekend my mate from Leeds is coming down to watch the Charlton v Leeds match.

Not only is it going to be a gong show but we also have a bank holiday next Monday...

I was hoping they would come to Vancouver, Paul Barber left as executive director of Spurs to become the Whitecaps CEO so I was hoping they might work something out. But I guess not

Today's results were good for Spurs, if they beat Burnley and Bolton all they would need is a draw against City to get 4th. If Villa can get a result at City next weekend there will be even more scenarios.

Seeing Azza fit and running again was good, hopefully he can play full time the next few games and get fit enough for England as well

Anybody else confused as to why Given had to be taken off on a stretcher for what was likely a dislocated shoulder?

Don't they do that for all serious injuries in football? You're hurt, you're on the ground, they bring out the stretcher. I might be wrong but I thought it was standard practice.
