Well I can't wait till we get into the later rounds and see some good competitive basketball. Some of these playoff games have been extremely boring to watch, especially compared with how exciting the NHL playoffs have been.

The West first round is going to have some great games. The East is basically a tune up for the top teams to battle each other which is tough to watch. Miami-Boston should be a great series after the fireworks of last night though.

Suns/Mavs, Suns/Spurs, Suns/Lakers should all be good if any of them come to fruition. Albeit, Suns/Spurs won't be nearly as good as it used to be.
Edit: By the way, Suns/Blazers Game 1 is on TSN2 tonight at 8:30. http://www.tsn.ca/nba/story/?id=318515

Spurs/Mavs was a really good game, and probably will be a good series.
Utah/Denver should've been good, but Utah lost two of their starters to injury so probably not as good as it could've been.
Miami/Boston should be good too, especially with the elbow KG threw. Should be a lot of intensity.
The rest haven't really been that exciting. It was mentioned in the FoI forum, but it is tough to pull off an upset in basketball over a 7 game series.
I think the 2nd round this year is when it starts to get real good in both conferences.

The starters all had off games yesterday... and Miller went into beast mode on the Portland side of things. I still think the Suns should take this with Roy being hurt.
The only two series that are somewhat in the air for me are the Suns/Blazers (although I'm still heavily leaning towards the Suns) and the Celtics/Heat series.
It's the next round when things get interesting in a big way.

You have to figure that when Nash goes off for 25 points, they have to come out on top. STAT was clearly off his game in a big way.
Barbosa is still one of my favourite players in the league though.

Utah/Denver just put on a show. Probably the best series so far.
Wow. What a finish.

Gutsy effort by the Jazz, stealing home court where they're always tough to play against.
Too bad Kirilenko is still out at least 2-3 more weeks.

Weird.. I got it on Raptors TV last night too. TSN2 had the LAL-OKC game I think.
Good game for the Suns though. Hopefully they can carry that momentum back to Portland. As nice as it is from a Suns fan POV, its too bad that Brandon Roy isn't playing in the series.... that kid is unreal.
Unrelated note, that OKC team is going to be a very, very good team down the road.

Yeah OKC is going to be in the playoffs for years to come. Durant is amazing. Westbrook is becoming a great player as well

Denver and Utah is shaping up to be a fantastic series. Carmelo (37.0 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 4.5 APG) has been awesome, and Deron Williams (29.5 PPG, 12.5 APG) has been the best player for the Jazz.
The Lakers are turning out to be just too much for Oklahoma City to handle. Gasol (22.0 PPG, 12.5 RPG, 2.5 APG) has been an absolute beast, and Kobe (30.0 PPG) has been solid. Russell Westbrook (21.0 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 5.5 APG) is having an awesome series. As I predicted, he has been the Thunder's best player.
Phoenix should take care of Portland from here, Steve Nash (19.0 PPG, 12.5 APG) has been good. Andre Miller (21.5 PPG, 5.5 APG) and Marcus Camby (13.5 RPG) the lone bright spots for the Blazers. They really miss Brandon Roy.
Spurs/Mavericks will be interesting going forward. Manu Ginobili (24.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 5.0 APG) and Tim Duncan (26.0 PPG, 12.5 RPG) have been great, while Nowitzki (30 PPG, 8.5 RPG) has carried the Mavs. Dallas will need some other guys to step up. Parker (17.0 PPG, 6.0 APG) and Kidd (9.0 PPG, 9.5 APG) have been non-factors so far.
Cavaliers are running away with their series. LeBron (32.0 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 6.5 APG) is a beast, having the best playoffs of anyone so far. Noah (17.5 PPG, 10.5 RPG) and Rose (25.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 9.0 APG) have been solid for Chicago.
Despite Dwyane Wade's (27.5 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 5.5 APG) best efforts, his team is just not good enough to compete with Boston. All of the starters except Pierce (and KG because he was suspended for game 2) have been effective.
Jameer Nelson (22.5 PPG, 5.5 APG) has been great for the Magic, and they should win their series easily.
Haven't seen any of the Hawks/Bucks series, unfortunately.

I'm lovin the Thunder right now. Huge win over the Lakers tonight. Westbrook was killer with 27 and 9 assists. Oh yeah, that Durant guy had 29 and 20 rebounds. This team will be scary down the road if these kids keep on developing like this.... great showing for a first time playoff team.
Chicago takes out Cleveland tonight too... wouldn't have seen that coming.
Phoenix is laying an absolute beating on the Blazers.... too bad Roy isn't around.

I saw the Bulls stealing a game from the Cavs, but I doubt they'll win another.
Huge game for Westbrook and Durant.

Good analysis in your previous post!
I hope the Bulls win the next one too and give Cleveland a good series. I absolutely despise Lebron and that team. It's not just because they're the biggest threat to the Magic, it's just I hate their team.
First, they have no coach. Lebron is the coach on that team. Second, they are a one man team, much more so than Kobe or Carmelo or even Durant, and it's boring as hell watching 1v5 all the time. Third, Lebron is a loser for walking off the court when he's losing, but taunting the other team with dances and stuff when he wins.
Magic have played two ugly games so far, but that's mainly because the Bobcats force them to be ugly. Slow pace, terrible offence, outstanding defence, tons of free throws. Ugh... can't wait for the next round.
The Western series' have all turned out to be really good as predicted, while the ones in the East are very weak. The next round should bring some more fireworks in the east.
