Whaaaaaaaat? You are Coach McDaniels aren't you! A TE? With gaping holes on the O line and at LB? You're killing me smalls, you're killing me. Graham and Quinn are fine for an offence that doesn't use it's TE's anyway. Crazy person

I hate the OL that are available here. Another pick is coming....

BTW...I think we're trading down.

Alright Papi34 is away at hockey won't be home for another 45 minutes or so. He did give me a list of guys for this pick.

So with pick #44 the New England Patriots select
Everson Griffin DT USC

Griffin can get a pretty good push on the line and plays well in tight area's which is a key for lineman in the 3-4 scheme. Looks to translate as a good run stopping end in a 3-4. Pretty good value pick here for the Patriots.

With the 45th pick in the draft, the Broncos select from the University of Iowa, LB Pat Angerer.

I thought I was pumped for the draft, then this thread came along and I feel like a kid on christmas eve with the real draft looming. This is the first year I've ever really put a good amount of time into researching players outside the high first round and I must say it's been a lot of fun doing all the reading and watching the highlight videos.

Next step for me seems to be getting into watching NCAA ball more often than the occasional marquee matchup.

Good choice. Indianapolis has shown interest in Saffold.

With the 47th pick in the CP mock draft, the New England Patriots select Arrelious Benn WR, Illinois

Benn gets the opportunity to learn behind two future hall of famers in Moss and Holt while filling a need for depth at WR with Welkers injury

Jesse is at work I think right now, but he sent me some picks yesterday. Although I do have another message and the Patriots just stole Benn from the Panthers.

So he'll go to Plan B and take Mardy Gillyard WR Cincinatti.

A fast receiver with kick return skills, the Panthers will hope to use him opposite of Steve Smith to help form an effective passing game to add another dimension to an offence that already boasts on the NFL's best rushing offence.

Have not left but that is the pick I want since Benn just got taken.

The San Francisco 49ers pick Ricky Sapp, LB, Clemson

The Niners would like someone to put a bit more pressure on the QB and take a little pressure off the secondary.

Damn it!!!!!
I was going to take Sapp at 36, but figured he might last to 50. Looks like I screwed that one up.

Well I could go with Koa Misi here, but I really wanted Sapp who I viewed as a pure speed rusher, almost in the mould of Derrick Thomas.

But I think there are enough of these could be 3-4 outside linebackers left that one should be around when my #68 pick comes around in round 3.

So with pick #50 the Kansas City Chiefs select

Vlad Ducasse OT Massachussetts

Ducasse is 6'4, 330 pounds yet still athletic. He came to the US from Haiti in 2002 so he has limited football experience. He's a very hard worker, and although I may not be able to use him right away, I think he'll take well to coaching. Brian Waters only has a couple years left so Ducasse doesn't have to play right away, but the upside is too much to pass up here.

I think it is because earlier he picked someone who had already been taken but did not realize it. So now everytime he picks, people thank him.

With the 51st overall pick, the Eagles select Jason Worilds, defensive end from Virginia Tech.

The Eagles had a lot of trouble getting to the quarterback with their front four last year, and don't have an elite pass-rusher opposite of Trent Cole. Worilds has terrific speed and gets a great burst off the line of scrimmage. He's considered to be a little undersized for the position, but so were guys like Cole, Freeney, and Jevon Kearse.

Okay, Frank is too busy at work to make this pick, so we can do another community pick here.

Steelers number one need is corner.

But the Rooney's are livid with Ben's lewd conduct and want someone who lives up to their morals. Oh yeah....you know it. Tim Teebow!!!!

Corner options here would be Dominque Franks from Oklahoma, Brandon Ghee from Wake Forest, Jerome Murphy from Southern Florida, Perish Cox Oklahoma State.
