Question Blackberry Help

I should be able to figure this out myself but its getting anoying.

I downloaded the Hockeynews App for my Curve 8100 and within an hour or so I had an alert on the home screen. I went to THN app and it had a star...so I went in checked it out, left and the alert on the home screen was still there.

I uninstalled and then reinstalled the app...nothing. The alert is still there and for some reason is really driving me crazy.

Anyone have an idea of how I can get rid of this? Thanks

I have an 8900 but I'm assuming it's similar. Do you have a "Messages" or "Saved Messages" folder? If so check those, the first time something similar happened to me I had to google it. Also check App world under "My World" maybe an update, but it shouldn't display like you described.
