Anyone else having fun with this somewhat of a "guilty pleasure" TV show?
It's kind of a 300 meets Gladiator type deal so far. The action, setting and some of the characters (Doctore and Batiatus in particular) are great and it's all kinds of bloody. Ep. 6 had Lucy Lawless topless! I'd wanted to see that since I was a teenager.
Isn't Lucy Lawless like 860 years old now? No thanks.
Edit: She's 42 I guess. And doesn't look half bad.

Could only get through 2 instances of CGI blood splatter before I turned it off. I think I set my expectations kind of high though, since I thought it would be along the same lines as Rome...

Any show with hottie brunettes get watched by me. I watch that show wanting to be entertained and so far it has done that.

couldn't get into it. looks like the director or writers had too much love on for the effects from 300 and over did it in that respect. story is meh. like someone posted above, not even female frontal kept me intersted.

I thought this show was stupid and ridiculous but I can't stop watching. Total guilty pleasure type of show. Didn't catch the finale last night, but I have it PVR'd, i know what Im doing tonight. Boobs and gore await!!
It's not a must watch, but I'll watch it when I'm bored and have nothing else to watch. I have to watch in 25 minute increments... makes it watchable then!
This show is man fantasy! "First I'll have you inside me before I help you!" Ha man this show is fun.
The first 2 episodes are brutal. The writing is terrible the cut scenes and effects, but it got way better. The third was a vast improvement but the fourth is where it starts shining. So some of you who quit after 2, start again. It gets better, and Zena isn't too bad dressed all in transparent lace.
This show is no guilty pleasure! It's a man show where we get violence, sex, slave sex, and "Jupiter's c**k" said every 4th sentence. I for one love this show for what it does not pretend to be...

My woman watches it for the "maleness" or "full frontal waxed man fun" in it. See gets all excited, it's pretty funny.

Exactly how I felt, the CGI blood is hilariously bad but besides that its just fun to watch, and the fact its so completely over the top in its nudity, sex and violence is just a bonus.
