Love the Raiders pick there. With all the talk about Al Davis' penchant for workout wonders, Williams is a guy who fits that mold almost as well as Campbell or Pierre-Paul, but isn't as big of a reach at that draft spot and has less boom/bust risk.
Good work so far everybody. Looking forward to the next 7-8 picks!

With the 10th overall pick in the CP mock draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, South Florida.
Jacksonville needs a lot of help on defense, especially when it comes to the passing game. Pierre-Paul is incredibly raw, but he has the natural athleticism to be a terrific pass-rusher in the NFL. Earl Thomas might have helped the secondary more here, but I think the Jags could still get a decent S prospect in the second round, whereas an elite pass-rusher would've been harder to find.

Okay Dis said he won't be home until 6:00 my time. Not sure if he knows I live in BC which would make it 7:00 in Calgary. Either way he told me to take the obvious pick here which is.
Denver Broncos select from Oklahoma State WR Dez Bryant
Big play receiver who does have some off the field flags. But he has talent, and maybe a bit of motivation to prove all those who say he has major character flaws wrong.
I think Rolando McClain could be an option here too, either way with two picks in the second round either position that didn't get filled here should have enough depth to be addressed there.

Pierre Paul, would be a really good fit for the Titans. I don't know if Jacksonville will pick him up, but he has the athleticism to become an elite pass rusher, and that is something the Jags need in a bad way.
Having a guy like Spiller still on the board here...interesting.

Yeah, I sort of waffled between Pierre-Paul, Thomas, and Derrick Morgan. It came down to who I thought was going to help the most against Peyton Manning and Matt Schaub, and the trick to both those guys is being able to get a good rush with your front four.

Okay, drafting on behalf of the Flickered Flame who's running late.
Miami Dolphins select
Sergio Kindle DE from the University of Texas
Parcells loves to have this type of athlete to be an outside line backer in the 3-4 who can rush the passer, and Kindle had more sacks than Brian Orakpo when the two of them played together. Dolphins released Joey Porter, and they may not bring Jason Taylor back.

San Francisco 49ers select Joe Haden, CB, Florida
The the big 4 OT already gone, some help in the secondary with a projected top 10 player slipping down can't be passed up.

That's who Pat Kirwin had the Fins taking in that position, although many other drafts had him slipping down another 8 places.

I have seen a lot of mock drafts have him there, I just find it so interesting. I think there is a lot of other better players on the board, especially on d-line. McClain is still on the board as well.
Fins could go for a S or a CB and be set in the secondary for many years as well.

The Seattle Seahawks, are proud, for thier 2nd first round pick in the 2010 CP Mock Draft, to be picking CJ Spiller, RB, Clemson.
Somewhat of a consensus pick for SEA in the mock drafts I've seen. SEA needs some explosiveness at the RB position, although they have Forsett who's exceeded expectations, Spiller is the best runner in the draft and hard to pass up if still there.
DE Derrick Morgan was considered, but Spiller better suits some run and gun that Carroll will likely try in re-infuse back into the SEA offense.

With the 15th pick in the first round of the CP Mock NFL Draft the New York Giants select ILB Rolando McClain.
If available he seems to be the consensus pick for the Giants and the only issue with the not picking him seems to be if he is already gone.

I too have seen Kindle going to Miami in a few different mocks, but I don't see it happening. As mentioned, safety and DT are also big needs, and one of Dan Williams or Earl Thomas is my pick to be wearing teal and orange on Thursday. No question that DE/OLB is also an area that needs to be addressed, but Morgan is the only guy available at #12 that is a top 12 talent- the other guys are 15-25 value guys.
That said, if MIA does go DE/OLB, I think a trade down is a possibility. I think Peter King from SI suggested a trade with the Eagles might be a good fit, as they have their eye on Thomas and might be willing to offer their 1st and 2nd to move up to take him. Dolphins would do that in a heartbeat.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if McClain did last this long...but it's not that far fetched either. If he's here in this pick the Giants will snap him up.

The Titans top choice is gone but will gladly take DE Derrick Morgan fro GT. The defensive line needs help with recent departures so Morgan is perfect for coach Fisher to groom into the next big thing.

Given that the Dolphins did just trade 2-2nds to get Marshall, I'm sure they'll explore every avenue to move down from that spot to get one back. IIRC Ferguson is suspended for the first 8 games so that does make the possibility that Dan Williams gets picked to play the nose a possibility.
Whatever Bill Parcells ultimately does though...no one will question him, he's been at the Rodeo before, and his track record is as good as it gets.

Re: Kindle, I've heard all the justification that Tuna would take a strong side olb since the stats say that all his stops he's had a penchant for strong pass-rushers: LT (the real lt), Dware, Bobby Carpenter... However I feel he goes for spiller if he's still there since there has been rumors of Ronnie's age and contract becoming issues. Also, I could see them taking dan williams if the chiefs, browns(Shaun rogers) or bills(have stated they are looking for OT depth) don't take him. Any 34 defensive team will seriously consider him. Syl,I too could also see them as a candidate to trade down.
