Spartacus is a spectacle that draws 4-6 people (besides wife and I) to my basement every Monday night for the new episodes. It's a shame season 1 is over on Apr. 19th. No TV show has ever gone over so well amongst my close circle of friends. Legendary.
The Pacific - Well written and acted, but wartime movies, video games, TV shows, etc really aren't my thing. Very little interest in continuing after 2 few episodes. Meh.
Breaking Bad - The first season was great but my interest waned early in season 2. I've caught the bug again and have caught back up. One of the better shows on TV. Great.
Stargate Universe - Looking for a new Sci-fi show to delve into I happened upon the new(ish) Stargate Universe not long ago. It's not nearly as cheesy as past Stargate projects and has pretty good potential. Season 2 has started with a bang and it's getting better all the time. If you enjoy sci-fi it's definately Worthwhile.
Rome - I was suggested "Rome" after being a big fan of Spartacus. It's not bad, but it's really slow (imo) compared to the Thracian gladiators exploits. It moves like a jalopy compared to it's opponents break-neck pace and imagery. If you like talking, talking and more talking it's great. If you are looking for epic ancient action and combat there is another show you should be watching. I'll likely try to get back into it in May. Goodish.
Glee - This is the show I give my wife. It's like high school musical for people older than 6. It has it's moments and the musical renditions can be pretty decent sometimes (however they completely butcher classic songs once in a while as well). It's grown on me to the point that it can be a watchable half hour that I give my wife the remote for. Not as bad as I thought.

Stargate Universe is still in its first season.

You want togas, murder and incest get hold of 'I Claudius' from the BBC in the late 70's, if only to see 'Jean Luc Pickard' before he got famous.

Spartacus is quite possibly the most R-rated show I have ever seen. They always screw, there is always nudity, they say "c***" all the time. They kill people ala 300 style.
This show is awesome.

Thoughts about Community? I watched the pilot and wasn't particularly impressed...Saw one comment about Chevy Chase earlier but should I bother?
Got into Breaking Bad. Sick show! Wanna cook?

I quite enjoy Community. It took a little while to get its feet under it, but it's pretty good now.

I must be really different than a lot of people. I've tired to get into Arrested Development in the past, and while I did think it was alright and watched a few seasons, it was definitely not something I would go out of my way to recommend to a friend or anyone.
I'm trying Breaking Bad because of this thread, I'm 2 episodes in so far. I'm kind of torn, it's an alright show again nothing special, so the hour long episodes really drain on me after a while. It is still early so I'll give it a few episodes more and see, should I? or if I don't really like it by now I wont?

Well, what kind of shows do you typically like? If you think Two and a Half Men is genius, then you're probably not going to like AD.

These are the shows that I watch and would probably recommend to people:
How I met your Mother
Californication
It's always sunny in Philadelphia
Flight of the Conchords
Entourage
The Office
Mad Men
Also just started watching HBO's new series How To Make it in America, as well as Community.

Re-runs of "Rent-A-Goalie" if you can still find them.
The scene of Cake rounding in buck-naked - except for a flappy beaver hat to keep his head warm - in a shootout against a homophobic goalie is a cinematic classic.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it or if i'm the only one but i'm enjoying FlashForward at the moment. The ratings have been on the decline but show was on hiatus for over 3 months.I'm hoping it doesn't get canceled.
I definately recommend it.

Who's watching Treme?? It's 3 episodes in and I am totally diggin this show. Some pretty interesting characters and just like Baltimore was the main character in the Wire, New Orleans is the main character in Treme. Very cool stuff so far.
For those who don't know why I compared the Wire to Treme, it's created by the same guy, David Simon.

My Fav shows ATM (Im probably repeating a lot):
True Blood - I have really enjoyed the TV series so far, and the books. I would highly recommend giving it a try (unless you're more of a Twilight kind of person).
Castle - I started watching Castle because I missed Firefly, and Nathan Fillion's voice soothes the pain. Eventually I got into it and recently re-watched season 1 with the GF. I would recommend it to anyone who liked Firefly and buddy cop type shows.
Dexter - Yes. Do it. Seriously, you have a lot to get caught up on.
