if he blows a third save this early while the other guy keeps pitching lights out he's gonna be the set up man or short relief here pretty quick

Frasor may eventually lose his turn as the preferred closer, but the Jays are at like 7 straight games where they have used a closer to get the final outs in the 9th inning. No closer can throw 7 straight games, so at some point you have to try someone else and Frasor probably is the second choice.

Ozzie Guillen tells Jays fans don't boo...or well boo if it means more of you will come out to games.

Guillen knocked the Toronto faithful for heckling Rios and then added a general swipe at the fanbase, according to the Chicago Tribune.

"We need people in the ballpark just to come out and boo Alex the next four days," Guillen told the Tribune. "Please, we haven't seen many fans here the last three or four years. Come out just to boo him."

I think that's a great move by the club. They control him for a nice long time when you consider arbitration too. In the next season or two if they land a blue chip 3B prospect and leadoff/OF prospect they will have an amazing farm.

With Jackson and Pastronicky at Dunedin I wonder if he's going straight to New Hampshire?

This is Frasor's 7th season in the bigs and I think his ERA has been under 4.00 like once or twice. To top it off he's blown almost 30% of his attempted saves which is about 10% higher than Gregg. He's not closer material at all, I don't even know if he should be 2nd choice, I'd personally rather have Scott Downs in the setup/occasional closer role and go with Gregg F/T until he loses the job. Still not really ideal but I think Frasor is really an asset in short relief and brutal as a closer.

He was anti-clutch for years earning a good salary and had a bit of a history of ... run-ins with fans while he was in Toronto. One of the many poster boys for underachieving.

12 K's and 0 hits through 6. 79 pitches though so he'll need to get some quick innings to be thinking about a complete game.
