Congratulations Flamestalker CPDL Champ
The inaugural season of the Calgary Puck Dynasty League ended on Sunday and in a come from behind finish Flamestalker, representing the Buffalo Sabres, won the whole ball of wax.
FS will be receiving his player jersey in the coming weeks. If you see a scrawny little guy walking around in a Blues #74 Oshie third jersey, that's likely him.
The Calgary Puck Dynasty League is a 30 team keeper league where each GM manages a team of 23 roster players and 10 prospects. The league attempts to replicate the NHL as closely as possible by allowing you, the GM, to be active in building your team, trading players, making draft picks, and managing your team to success.
We're revamping this slightly for next year as we have additional prizes throughout the season. We're always improving the league and looking to ensure it's long term success. We're always on the lookout for other CPers who would be interested in taking on the challenge of managing a team. Check out the site and get in touch if you're interested.

Congratulations FS.
What happened to Orange and Weiser? I thought it was a two horse race.
Thanks to furnaceface and the other mods who did a great job. Looking forward to next season. No I will not trade Stamkos, stop asking.

The cooler kids play in the CPDL.
Congrats FS on trading your way up to the top...do we have a total for his trades? I'd venture to guess 50+ players came and went from that team this year. He made Sutter seem like a wuss trade day.

Just noticed this part and laughed because I thought the same thing when I had to make the order. I think it might be for his little sister or something.

I was first for most of the season, but then came crunch time and I lost to a team that was at one point 50 points behind me. Just like every other team built around Joe Thornton.

We don't simulate, we use NHL stats and stuff.
Congrats FS...Oshie jersey though?

Thanks everyone!
Haha you'd be surprised.. I might be scrawny, but my team definitely made up for it on the field.
I wasn't going to bring this up, but had you put in John Mitchell instead of Brad Richardson in the last week, someone would've possibly won.
And on the Oshie thing... he'll be big. Just you wait.

I made the grave error of dropping Kurtis Foster before he went on a tear for most of the season but in the end it looks like it only cost me one spot in the final standings. Looking forward to next season with Miller and Niemi back in goal where hopefully Niemi is an NHL starter, and Pietrangelo should have a strong rookie season on the blueline.

Foster was bounced around to a few different teams. I had him at one point, then traded him away in the Hodgson/Demitra deal.

I'm just glad I was able to move Whitney when I did. I imagine his trade value plummeted after being dealt to the oilers.
The Flames look to have a much better season next year, but still probably wont come close to our projected eleventy billion points

czure, your prediction was priceless.
Icarus and Starseed, good to know you're back next year, I wasn't sure as you've been quiet.
