I think he handled himself quite well in the interview, but one thing that struck me as odd, was when asked why he got married, he responded ,"Because I loved Elin." May be reading too much into it, but past tense may be somewhat telling, especially if his plans are to work it out with her.

Didn't see the interview so I have no idea the context or inflection in which it was said, but I would hazard a guess you're over-reading it.

When asked for the motivation for an action in the past it's natural to use the past tense to describe it. Just like if someone asked you why you ate the entire wedding cake. You would say because I was hungry. Even if you were hungry when answering the question, and you feel the same way about cake now as you did then.

Anyone else think its kinda sketchy that Tiger schedules these press meetings when other news is the bigger story?

Did anyone watch the South Park season premiere last night which was the Tiger Woods episode.

In a nut shell rich people become sex addicts because of a wizard alien casting a spell on the money they earn.

The Golf Channel interview was great - "I couldn't stop. It was horrific". I laughed and laughed...

Always interesting to watch public relations brains at work when they're attempting resurrect an image . . . . . . lots of people are wondering if this Tiger ad for Nike is a work of genius or something from Bizarro.

Wow, he really knows no shame. Using his dead fathers words in an advertisement to sell nike products.

Wow. The jersey shore ######bags got nothing on Tiger.

I don't know what to think of the ad...I'm intrigued by it and actually found it a tad moving....but as myk pointed out...you're profiting from a dead man. Definitely an interesting move though.

You do understand that NIke produced that not Tiger himself, correct? Was it a ###### move when Natalie Cole used her fathers image to sell her records?

Had Nike did the father voice over a montage of existing clips then Nike would be to blame.

Tiger stood there looking all sad and somber and knew what was playing in the background. = ######bag.

And whether or not you agree with the merit of it...it sure is working for Nike. I've now seen this on CBSnews (they even put up the ad on their youtube channel), Global National, CNN, and all over the internet. And they didn't pay a dime to be on those.

Working out brilliantly for Nike.

Tiger knew what was being played when he made the bs fake puppydog look. He is a sellout - I am surprised anyone would think otherwise.

They are getting alot of views yes. We will see hos brilliantly it works. If people believe this BS it will work for Nike. If they dont then it wont.

So far Nikes facilitation of Tigers sex "habit" has been the untold story in all of this.

Apparently somebody flew a plane pulling a banner over the course that read 'Tiger, did you mean Bootyism?'. Nice!
