And it's time for the annual Stampede thread. Haters, I know you hate. But I live a sad pathetic existence. This is one of the few things in the year that give me joy. Please let me have my fun.
For anyone who's paid any attention (probably none of you, but that's ok), it's the food that I look forward to every year.

To be honest, I'm really disappointed in this year's offerings. The majority of these were from last year, and the new ones are just battered and fried cheese. One on a stick, the other not. And the Chipstix is just the tornado potato from last year. Boo.
I might give deep fried Snickers bar a try though.

The deep fired oreos last year are damn filling as hell. Surprise how much two of them can be enough for me.
Oh, and any word on making the Stampede be more christian?

I can't wait for the return of the tornado potato!
I was just looking this morning to see if the Coca-Cola Stage and Nashville North had announced their 2010 acts, but no luck.
My annual tradition is to wear a fu-manchu moustache for the ten days of Stampede. Last year it was so epic that even Ian White would have given me a high-five.

The deep fried oreos are my new favourites over the mini doughnuts!  Drool!
Also, could the "Alligator pizza" have actual gator meat on it? I know in the southern US, they are eaten, and apparently it doesn't taste too bad at all.
I checked one of the Stampede blogs (below), which mentions "new alligator and cricket pizza"! Yup, looks like actual gator meat! Also, I wonder how many drunken bets will be made involving cricket pizza?

Gator meat isn't that bad at all.
I had some last fall in Nebraska of all places.
The guys I worked with were from Louisiana and they swore by it.

Gawd damn, I love the Stampede... but, for the food and the food only. It's one big sleazy greasepit for 10 days straight, where I eat so much crap there that fat starts to secrete out of the pores on my face, my hair falls out and my skin turns a healthy grey color. This thread rules. I will be eating everything that's been listed by the OP, and I think I am going to thoroughly enjoy the alligator pizza. Animals activists be damned, I'm going to be crapping gator tators for three weeks afterwards and I look forward to it.
Oh yeah, and those beef-on-a-bun stands will be sorry they ever saw the likes of me. Just like the previous five years.
