It isn't truly a domed stadium. Here's some pics from that article from the football stadium at Harvard, the Bombers stadium would be the same, and would only put up the dome for the winter months:

It is basically an inflatable dome that only covers the field.

When I read the Stamps released Shannon James, I thought 'oh yeah April Fool's Day' but I guess the news is legit. Hmmmm... weird but I am sure the Stamps management knows what they are doing. He is one of the best defensive player last season. So, now we lose 2 of our LBs, what's up next?

Oh, wait. I think I remember him now... was he the 13th guy on the field against the Als?

Only if he was out there in a wheelchair.

Also, did you really need a month to come up with a comeback?

Seriously though, unless you are just a casual fan and only watch Labour day, playoffs and the GC you should probably know who he is.

Ha, yeah I know. Delayed reaction. I don't think I've been back in this thread since then.

I actually do some work with the Stamps during the season, so I don't get much of an opportunity to watch them play. Unfortunately, the only football I usually get to watch are the playoffs or weekends when the Stamps are on the road. Even then, I'm only half interested. I get pretty exposed during the season.

Edit: Come to think of it, I've probably met Dressler. I've met most of the players in the League, though I don't really know them by name.

I see.

He's a really fun player to watch. Great hands and incredible speed for such a little guy.

They're moving into an outdoor stadium for the time being.

yep, should be interesting, apparently it has lead to great season ticket sales, as people won't have to sit inside on a nice summer day. it may not be so nice in october when vancouver is really rainy though.
as a result of this and the touchdown atlantic maritime game, edmonton plays the only all-outdoor CFL schedule in many, many years

CFL rule changes

- must go for 2 point convert on TD in OT
- A team that gives up a field goal (during regulation time) will have the option of scrimmaging from its 35-yard line instead of receiving a kickoff.
- There will be no penalty for pass interference if a forward pass is deemed uncatchable.
- When a ball is punted, hits the ground and hits a player from the covering team, the ensuing penalty will be five rather than 15 yards.

Why would they change the kickoff rule back again? I really enjoyed having more returns instead of the stupid 35-yd. scrimmage.

I guess this will be good for the Stamps so that they don't have to use Markus Howell too often

Agreed... its one of the worst rules in the CFL. I always wondered why some coaches prefer to take it at the 35 instead of getting it kicked to them. I suppose if you have a terrible return game but the changes of you getting past the 35 are pretty damn good.

Have you seen the Stampeders return game?

2 or 3 good games are 2-3 more good games than the Bombers will have if they don't sign him.

At least now they have a shot at winning a game against someone other than TO.
