Glycerin by Bush. Seven of us were driving to Super Bowl XXX in Phoenix in January of 1996. Around 4 or 5 am somewhere in Utah this song came on the radio when I was laying in the back of the van trying to get some sleep. It just seemed like a really cool song with the slow rhythm and deep, raw guitar. I really like that song and will probably have it played at my funeral.
I've really grown to like Theory of a Deadman. I think they've really found their own sound and have broken out of the "they sound exactly like Nickleback" stigma.
A couple more i was reminded of when listening to my iPod.
Coldplay - The Scientist
Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head
Everlast - What It's Like
Citizen Cope - Let the Drummer Kick

When I first heard this song when I was little it really got to me for some reason. The lyrics and harmonies are well done. They just don't make music like this anymore.
X92.9 played this today in the top 6 at 6, then some must have been cutting onions nearby.
I was in charge of picking music for my dad's funeral and this was at the start of the playlist.
You know, it's so rare when a remake captures and almost enhances the original. It's so powerful, and the build up to the end...it's hard not to well up a bit.
I'm also glad this was bumped. But I forgot a few...
probably better renditions but...
I don't know why this thread didn't catch on in the first place. I found a lot of new music already. Thanks all.
