Hmm I haven't tried Rickard's but something tells me there's a lot of better options out there. How does this compare to something like... guiness or carlsberg?

I actually don't mind Rickard's red or white. And I'm a beer snob. A big beer snob.
It'd be down near the bottom of my list, but so are most beers that are available at regular bars/pubs (Trad excluded, I have a soft spot for it). Definitely better than canadian, near or on par with kokanee in my opinion.

Can't you? I used to work at a liquor store and I'm pretty sure we used to carry it. I almost never see it unless I'm in BC but I think that conceivably you could buy it here.

I love the beer snobs in these threads. Period blood is good for you.

I consider myself somewhat of a beer snob and I don't have any problem with Rickards Red. It certainly isn't as good as some of my fav micro brews or Euro beers (Dab is one of my favs) but it is WAY better than regular NA lagers and pilsners like Blue, Canadian, Bud, Coors, Pilsner etc.
I think Rickards White is pretty good. Better than Red for sure.

Hmm interesting. Never seen it at the local liquor store. Maybe Willow Park or one of the specialty stores carries it?

If you aren't in the south, check out the Dalhousie Coop liquor store. They have a very very good beer selection and might very well have what you are looking for. Best selection I've found in the NW.

Keep in mind my memory is hazy and I'm talking like 4 years ago. Come to think of it, the only reason the store I worked at carried it is because me and my buddies ordered it ourselves. They had a really tasty Maple Cream ale.

I can't abide by Rickards Red. It makes me feel so awful the next day even if I only have 2.
Rickards White with a shot of cointreau dropped in it is pretty delicious. My friends and I named that an "Agent Orange"
