Very solid period for sure. I'd like to eliminate some of those great scoring chances against though.

Is the buffering on this game as bad for you guys as it is for me? I just got it at the start of the 2nd, and I can't watch it any bigger than the smallest sze and it is still very choppy.

Yeah it was. I have pretty much given up on it. I have it on the fan now. Warriors have scored to make it 3-1.

Res, are you watching it? Curle made it sound like it was a "bad" goal.

Just listening. But frankly, if Nyren is scoring unassisted, I'm inclined to accept it was a weak goal.
And apparently Moose Jaw gets to run Jones over without a call. Naturally, the stripes suddenly saw a Calgary infraction right after. Long five on three for Moose Jaw.
...And they score. Figures.

Moose Jaw scores with just 1 second left on the power plays. 4-2 Hitmen.

4-3 now.
Christ, it is embarrassing just how badly the officials want Moose Jaw to win. Yet again, the referees changing the game for the Warriors.

This shtick is getting old.
The last goal was even strength. Quit blaming everything on the refs all the time.

If you don't like it, get lost.
When we've taken two goaltender interference penalties already, and the officials willingly IGNORE our goalie getting RUN OVER, choosing instead to call Calgary again to turn a four on four into a five on three, then yes, the f'ing officials are dictating the outcome of the game.
If they call a neutral game, it's still 4-1. And that is notwithstanding the fact that they cost Calgary another goal with a remarkably quick whistle.

Why should I get lost when my opinion is just as valid as yours. It's WHL officiating, it's going to be at a lower level than NHL officiating which is bad enough as it is.
Losing teams always get a couple extra chances from the refs in junior leagues, but good teams find a way to fight past that and win anyway - that's why they are good teams. You aren't going to tell me Calgary is the only good team in the league that the officials screw now are you? I noticed the Giants and Wheat Kings still had no trouble winning their series.
Yes the reffing has been bad this series. I went to games 1 and 2. But it's still sour grapes to blame everything on them when the Hitmen haven't shown much resolve and push-back as a superior team that still should win regardless of reffing.

Lower level is not a synonym for biased. And this crap is biased.
If both teams are playing under the same rule book, it sure isn't a 4-3 game, so your argument is irrelevant. Not many teams can overcome a 7 against 4/5 disadvantage.

If you look at the total number of powerplays each team has had this series, it's actually pretty even. You'd have a hard time convincing me there is a series bias. There's been cheap calls and bad no-calls but it's not like the powerplays have been 10-1 in any one game or anything.
The difference is the Warriors have been cashing in on their PP chances and the Hitmen haven't.

The real issue for me is that the Hitmen take a certain type of penalty, tonight it has been 2 goalie interference calls, and the Warriors get away with the samething. That is frustrating. It is the WHL, which has terrible reffing every night, every game, but I want the teams to get the same calls if they both commit the same penalty.

The number of clean hits that have been penalized has been a joke. The hip check that somehow magically became clipping in game five being a prime example. It's not the number of calls, its what is made and when.
Anyway, Cowan with a flipping huge goal early in the third!
