uploading videos , taking out the sound and adding music as background
Anyone know how to do this?
I wanna put this weeks videos of the beginners team scrimmage up on the blog , but this week my wife and a couple wives were cackling in the background. Mostly making fun of us but also talking about women things. Is there anyway i can replace the background with music ?

I have never actually used this program so I can't make any comment on its quality, but it was suggested to me a while back for some work on home videos that I have successfully put off till now.

Sure just come on over. Barq's or A&W?
As for the import:
Just import the video with the import button. Select the file.
Then click the audio mix button to add the music
Then in edit menu -> Volume and Balance and kill off whichever of the tracks you don't want.
Edit : Youtube - I don't see the option when you go to upload, but I am not a heavy uploader so I might be looking in the wrong places.

Then do this.
It is included in Windows Live Essentials, which you can download separately or as an optional update in Microsoft Update

Ok Sine I have windows movie maker I just tried it quickly before I have to leave and it said it didnt support the type of file that i downloaded the video files in. I think it was something like .mt2s It was saying something about not having the right codec.
I guess I will have to figure it out when I get hope. Anyone know where to get the codec?

That's what my Sony HD Camcorder records in, and it can be a bit of a pain to work with because that format isn't very well supported by the free editing software that's available.
I even have Adobe Premiere CS3, and it won't work with the mt2s files (apparently CS4 supports it, but I don't have that yet).
Sony Vegas is one program that does support that format and you can download a 30 day trial copy for free, and it's relatively cheap to buy too ($40 for the basic version).
